  1. Quinn Hughes has the fastest recorded speed in the NHL this year. He did id in the third period of yesterday's game. 24.5mph. One the fastest speeds ever recorded for the most dominant player in the NHL.

  2. I live in Grand Rapids and let me tell you, hockey here is already so awesome. I love our guys, and I love traveling to Detroit to see them as well. But I can’t wait to see the two you mentioned here! It’s going to be a blast to welcome them — hopefully sooner rather than later!

  3. Wings are just loaded with middle of the lineup guys and bare with high-end guys. Yzerman has to make a swing or he’s gonna be living in a 55 & older community in Tampa very soon.

  4. You know what would be huge ?

    Not missing the playoffs…

Some rebuild… they trying to catch Buffalo in the standings?

  5. Never heard of Michael Brandsegg New gard before. Or did you mispronounce his name on purpose so some chum like me corrects you 😂

  6. I think adding these two guys to the Griffins playoff run would be great. The Wings realistically are done. It's gonna take 94-96 points to get in, and looking at the strength of their remaining opponents, that would be a big stretch to think they can pull off 13 straight wins. So bring up a forward and maybe Wallinder for the rest of the season, plug those guys in when they're done in Sweden, and let's see how it all plays out.

  7. Too many armchair GMs in the comments.

The reason we miss this year isn't Yzerman's folly…. it's the start we had under Lalonde and this funk against a tough schedule is an aberration. They will likely miss this year and the team will be back next year better, under a better coach from day 1.

Yzerman inherited a team that was hitting rock bottom. It takes time to come back from that and anyone who can;t comprehend this can find another team.

  8. He definitely fills a need for the Wings if he works out… Sandin Pellikka should fill a much bigger role fairly soon as well.

  9. Another year, NO playoffs yet Yzerman keeps his job like Blashill & Lalonde did way too long! Wings are WEAK, Meek with Zero Toughness & that's on Steve who had Probert, Kocer, Gallant etc…protecting him! Stevie is a USELASS COWARD like Wings! SAD!!!!!!!
