  1. They took David Reinbacher when michcov and Ryan Lenord was available… the players may be good the the org is a joke.

  2. I just want to say that lane hutson is a minus 12 only on empty net against. He's always on the ice when they try to tie the game up but is not when they are defending a lead and where they can score an empty net. A week ago I saw a stat that if you take away empty net goals against and for, hutson has actually the best +/- of all defensemen on the habs. He isn't perfect and does need somme work tho. But he's better than I expected defensively.

  3. Just go back to your old videos. I probably told you they'll win the cup. I'm a time traveller. 😂😂😂

  4. The Avs were dominating the Habs until the Makar own goal and it messed the flow of the Avs up pretty bad. Also, Wood sucks. Man he's bad. The Habs jumped on the Avs and got it to OT where I don't think they had a shot on goal for 5 minutes

  5. Detroit underachieving and Boston finally fading like most predicted the past 2 years is why MTL has a chance at the playoffs. However at the start of the this rebuild I stated I did NOT want a repeat of past Habs teams scraping by to squeak into the playoffs never getting a top elite pick.
If I did not see a habs team showing me consistent HQ play SMART hockey then IDC about the playoffs I would rather another top pick maybe Misa or Schaeffer I would even take Hagens we need another center.
My long winded point is that I do NOT see a smart hockey club so the Habs can only win a cup with incredible LUCK or we need to just keep adding talent allowing us to win a league with a lot of parity.

  6. The NHL has ways to bring fans down to earth. 2 games back to back is tough this time in the schedule but 3 or 4 is a hab haters way to destroy our playoff chances. Schedule makers know what the plans are and the effect that no team has been scheduled for 4 in decades no scheduler in his right mind wound do it accidentally so it's meant to affect the playoff run. Toronto, NY, CHICAGO ETC , NO WAY. MONTREAL THEYRE A THREAT to the hierarchy. BE AFRAID BUT THE NHL IS PROTECTING YOU. Bad calls are still in effect but they need 4 games to habs……..to crush any possibility.

  7. I am ok with fans opinions "some of them" but the title says WAY BETTER as if to indicate this is a really good team and it is not.We added an elite talent in Hutson we added a HQ scorer in Laine most say Evans has become better Gallagher playing at his best added Carrier a steady D man Struble playing well and still if not for Boston's slide we would be on the outside looking in does that sound like a team that is WAY better?
I want to repeat that Detroit was expected by most to also do much better so that is two teams that would have left MTL on the outside.

  8. Laval Rocket is 1st in the AHL with a young team and several rookies. Reinbachet looks like an absolute 2-way stud. He does it all.

  9. They’re definitely ahead of schedule with still having some bad contracts still coming off this year and next. And like you said potentially the next kucherov on the way.

  10. As of March 20, 2025, Lane Hutson, a rookie defenseman for the Montreal
Canadiens, has been on the ice for 12 empty-net goals against during the
    2024-2025 NHL season.

  11. Lane hutson's defensive play this year has been very good ……. I think people forget Caden Primo was giving up around five goals, a game at the beginning of the season messing up everybody's plus minus

  12. I legit had them in before Laine, I am not sure they make it, but I think / hope so.

'PS, habs make the playoffs this year, or damn close to it (felt that way even before Laine)

Hopefully that dude can stay off the sauce or whatever his deal was.

Wings will go backwards this year, wish 19 would have done things right, but didn't.'
    Sent to my buddy.
Just liked how the kids got another year, the way top line was going last 20 games or so and solid GT's.

  13. I just want to know why so many you tubers want to convince us that a non playoff team is actually good. Their goalies and defence are laughable…3rd highest goals against in the league

  14. They’re playing without Guhle as well. He had been playing great before going down with a while ago. He’s the future partner of Hutson IMO.

  15. Would be a bonus for the rebuild if they make playoffs this season , more importantly they are learning how to play meaningful games at this time of the year. Every night feels like Habs really need this one for this reason or that reason. And it’s all true they do need . As a life long Habs fan it is not there turn yet there are teams further along in their process who will go further, in the meantime they are fun to watch , never say die comeback kids at times. Sneak into playoffs win a round or two and be one season closer to the goal.

  16. I was brainwashed to be a Montreal hater but I can’t hate on this roster it’s the entertaining version of Les canadiens I ever saw.

  17. Next season is gunna be run by the Habs. Demidov, Reinbacher, and the return of Dach and Guhle will be an interesting roster. Nm the other top prospects on the come up for the seasons after next… i think i see a bright future

  18. An important fact to remember: With Buffalo Sabres, the Habs are the youngest club in the NHL right now.

  19. Ghule is one of the best young shut down Ds in the league and you forgot about him. Hes been injured for a couple of months but if the habs actually makes the playoffs he could make a huge difference in round 1 too b

  20. There are pieces for the backend already in the system, maturity is needed for the goaltenders, the bottom 6 will be the best part of this build over the next 2-3 years. The will be looking for a potential replacement for Dach this summer, something I've had contact with first hand. Dach will get a look, but there is potential that he could get traded this summer, the team is not impressed with how he came to camp this year.

  21. The amount of Copium and Nonsense that Canadain hockey fans spew will never cease to amaze me. My LEAFS, The HABS, B.. b… but Connor McDavid. Its like Cowboys of the NFL. Haven't proven anything in decades and they still act like their dog died when these fake teams meet real ones.

  22. Before this recent rebuild. There was mentality from the older crowd that the habs could never do a rebuild. Because the fans would never accept their team being dogshit for X number of years. Well Molson pulled the trigger in 2021 by hiring Gorton and telling him. Its time for a rebuild. Its been alot of pain since 2021 but we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

  23. I fieel that Carrier and Heineman provides reliability and stability to the roster. When Heineman was injured the team seemed to win less.

  24. Guhle is an amazing shutdown D. I feel like you're just looking at stats, and that never tells the full story. Hutson's plus/minus, for example, was heavily impacted buy the first 2 months of the season, during which the Habs were adjusting to a new D system. The whole team was bad during that span, if you just want to analyze numbers. He's not bad defensively – the plus/minus doesn't tell the true story of his season.

  25. First time listener, and I enjoyed it very much.

I like how they’re sticking to Kent Hughes’s plan. I do think they need to play Dobes a little more than they currently do. If they do get in, they’ll be tough to put out.

  26. Fun fact, the Canadiens have not had a 100 points player since 1985
That's the opposite of a fun fact!
    Hopefully Demidov can change that!
