It’s a minor deal, made for depth reasons between two teams looking for better results next season.

  1. Bruins should've made a play for Kruger. If they had Krug and Kruger, all they would need is someone named Krugest to complete the set.

  2. This is smart by Arizona, getting a 3rd round pick while grabbing a guy who can help reach the cap floor is smart business. Even if Kruger is only a 15 point guy if he kills penalties and plays a checking role he will work out fine

  3. Have you heard that the rangers signed micheal lindqvist and ville meskanen? What do you think of this?

  4. I think Kruger had some health issues this season and thats why he wasn't as good as he usually is.

  5. I think this is a win-win, not a game changer but a good move for both teams. Kruger has a history with OEL and Hjalmarsson, so I can see him bouncing back in the desert. Martinook to Carolina frees up some centre depth for young guys like Necas and Wallmark. As a Carolina fan it's reassuring to see a positive-ish roster move being made given the uncertainty in the front office

  6. Martinook is one of the best defensive forwards in the league. He played one of the best shutdown lines in the league and so good that Rick put them out against the first line on most teams. Now I’m not saying martinook is a good two way defensemen but he’s an excellent fourth liner. Enjoy him Carolina fans

  7. Maybe Carolina and Arizona should have worked out a deal where they ship eachothers fans to the others home games

  8. What I wanna know is who in the Hurricanes organisation is making these deals because they have no GM and Francis isn’t in Carolina anymore.
