Edmonton Oilers: CHANGE IS COMING SOON

This Edmonton Oilers team is about to get an incredible JOLT, with the addition of some pretty key pieces coming back to the lineup as we near playoffs.

  1. Coach K trusts Janmark and Kapanen (and Podkolzin) more than he trusts Jeff Skinner. We also don't know if Kane and Frederick will be ready for playoffs, being healthy enough to be in the lineup doesn't mean you're up to speed and integrated with your linemates and have chemistry.

  2. We can only depend on Drai and Perry so far this year. Hopefully everyone else can play consistently to their potential.

  3. I put podkozin on the third line, then every line will have a player that can play physical. Another option would be Kane – Frederic – Perry

  4. The problem has always been, when they struggle to score, they 'forget' the systems in an effort to force the offense, instead of sticking to the system and trying to puill out a low scoring win,

  5. The way the top 6 and "depth" have performed all season, good luck passing the firedt round. Draisaitl, Perry, Kulak and maybe Emberson have been the players that showed up this season. RNH and Hyman are two of the biggest disappointments

  6. And what happens when you lose to Utah, another defining moment? Lol! Oh we salary cap exclusions, sounds like Vegas and Tampa! Cheaters!!

  7. In an ideal world wed have Mc, hyman and frederic on L1
Drai, nugget and kane on L2
Need a physical guy on both top lines to bang around and create some room for the other 2.

  8. Kane cannot start on line 1. He hasn't played for a year. I would throw Skinner there. He showed clear chemistry with McD, though would not be surprised if he gets scratched this game since the coach hates him.

I'm not a big fan of Max Jones. Outside of the first game, he has been invisible play wise besides taking terrible penalties.

  9. Can we expect Kane to be playing at an elite level after taking the whole year off. Canโ€™t they send him down to the condors for game conditioning.

  10. Corey Perry came to play with some fire in his belly this season. He's been really entertaining to watch. I cannot wait for the post season.
