  2. Copenhagen is an amazing city and their bouldering gyms are pretty neat. Been there once for a few days and absolutely loved everything about the city. Looking forward to this 'mini-series'

  3. I love seeing the smiles on your faces throughout all the video. I've tried a good handful of different gyms in different countries, but I still find my home gym (this one) to be the most fun to be at. It might not have the absolute most competitive boulders, but the level is more than high enough for 95% of people, and the rotation of boulders is fast, though not so fast that the holds stay super sharp for a long time. The big holds generally makes me experience less injuries, and the frictionless walls save my chinbones, making me less scared to fall when I push myself as much as I can. Most importantly, it's a super social gym, with lots of easier boulders, so you can bring your friends, including those who only boulder occasionally or their first time, and they can still have feelings of success.

  4. awesome to see you guys in denmark, and in the bouldering gyms i use as well! its fun to see how you guys do on the colors and grades im used to!!

  5. i heard the comments about the holds being bigger and more generous in the gym, which is something i definitely experienced after trying climbing gyms in other countries. do you think that is maybe a problem since it doesnt train crimping so much?

  6. You should also come visit Boulders i Aarhus, Denmark! The boulders are just as great and the Aarhus vibe is immaculate!

  7. Ahem. Pedantic comment incoming. Boulders Sydhavn is far from the oldest climbing gym in Copenhagen. Nørrebro Klatreklub hails back to at least 1997, and Pløks in Skovlunde started construction of their wall in 1995. Also, the location the video is shot at is not the original location of (what was then called) Copenhagen Boulders. OK, enough grumpy old man for now, awesome video and climbing none the less, and bouldering is really taking off in Copenhagen these days. Boulders is opening their fifth gym soon, Beta their third, Bison their second and that's just the commercial ones.

  8. Isn't the second hold on the pink boulder you try part of the red boulder problem? Either way, awesome to see you in Denmark!!

  9. this video makes me reminisce on EU climbing gyms, i visited german, austrian and italian gyms, would love to visit denmark some day in the near future

  10. So awesome to see you having fun on the roof boulder, especially after so many years of no roof.

  11. Seriously Eric, that red one was pure art. Really nice sequence and you did it in a very controled and solid way! Hands down. 🙂

  12. This gym is dank and has really poor climate control – freezing in winter and sweltering in summer! But it was also where I started, and the abundant slabs, face and corner stuff is great

  13. It's a good thing you had a chance to check it out, as it'll only be around for so long. The lease is coming up and it won't be renewed, as the realestate values of the area will have it torn down to build offices. RIP Sydhavn, but at least they have a bunch of other places in CPH you can go to instead.

  14. Nikken has gone from the king of the swing, to so strong he doesn’t even need it! That send was so freakin’ controlled!
