First Hjalmarsson, and now Stepan and Raanta. This is fantastic.
I love this trade, not so much Hjalmarsson for Murphy, I don't think Murphy has the potential to be as good as Hjalmarsson, but he's only 24, while Hjalmarsson is 30. I feel like by the time they're real contenders, he won't be able to fill that top 2 D spot anymore.
I think drafting Petterson is good like he's a swede you know how Canucks love the Swedish players, I rather get either Glass or Vilardi but we can't judge Petterson that he's either good or not after drafting him
I think the Coyotes have made great moves in the past couple hours. We can easily be contenders very soon with some of the moves. Chayka is proving himself as god-tier.

The Rangers will be fine if Lundqvist gets tired, cause Magnus Hellberg looked pretty good in his lone showing against the freaking Penguins.

I think this is good trade for both teams. NY loses raanta sure but they still have an elite goalie in lundqvist and shesterkin in the pipeline and recieve their highest pick in years. Arizona gets stepan who can be top center until strome or Dvorak take over and a goalie who could be a starter… And they're young enough to not disrupt their youth movement.
I'm 50/50 with this trade as a big rangers fan. I just don't like how they traded raanta, hopefully this is a good trade because all the other trades in the past have resulted in bad outcomes

As a coyotes fan I really am excited to have raanta he is the clear starter for Arizona
They have already a lot of prospects the gun they don't need anybody else they need to be better for the future starts with Doan and the coach goes and they're changing their style of play and also changing the face of the organization

I honestly think what we gave up for Stephan and Raanta was a little steep I'm just happy to have a clear cut starter in net but Stephan on a rebuilding team doesn't really make sense to me but neither does DeAngelo on a win now team idk

seeing cap strapped team's fan justify salary dump moves on decent Players they over paid is so interesting. over paid and bad players are two completely different things. everyone said "the yotes are too young, they have no leadership". The yotes give up decent young players, that, who knows if they've reached their ceiling or not for 2 proven players. great trades for both sides with risk on both ends. Good, fair hockey trades for both sides, neither will win or lose, because the goals of a successful trade for either side is defined completely different

I think the owner Barroway is influencing these trades and moves. he's making the team what he wants it to be… Chyka being his pawn…Not sure what I feel about it.. would have preferred to see the youth mature together…. whenever ownership gets involved in hockey moves it always ends badly.
Good trade for Arizona. Big upgrade in nets. He'll probably be playing 55-60 games.
Plus Stepan gives them some offense and takes some pressure off their younger forwards for a couple of years.
Rangers did get younger and cleared some cap space. Maybe getting ready for a UFA signing. Angelo sounds like he'll need more time to mature but could help out their PP, if they don't sign Shattenkirk. (Buyer beware!)
I love both teams. It's funny because I live in NY but I'm going to be moving to AZ. But I hope the Arizona Coyotes move back to Phoenix. People think they don't sell out because there is no fan base but that's not the case. It's because in Glendale which is an hour or an hour and a half from Phoenix I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong. Anyways if they were to move back to Phoenix then they would sell out games or come pretty damn close to it.

Raanta is a great goalie in the beginning of last season he was a big part and he did some good.Arizona will eventually need young talent but they still have decent players like Doami, Doan, now raanta and Stephan so they will make the team a better tean
I mean it was kind of a good trade. But at the same time Rangers lost Raanta and Stepan those are 2 key players for the Rangers, and the Rangers got DeAngelo. Hmmmmmm😕😕😕😕😕😕😕😕😕 really New York
