Even the announcers were mad at this pathetic goal
The Buffalo Sabres have had an abysmal NHL season this year. A 13 game losing streak that went from Thanksgiving through Christmas, traded Dylan Cozens away who went to Ottawa at the trade deadline just to immediately lights it up with 6 points in 7 games and are again going to miss the playoffs. Despite all that, in last nights matchup against the Utah Hockey Club, in what was a very back and forth game, they were right in it and tied 2 – 2 with less than 6 minutes to go. And yet, it completely fell apart again. About to be given a powerplay, they instead scored on themselves on the empty net to completely give the game away officially. What is craziest, is that Stenlund not only took the penalty with a high stick, but he was ALSO the last to touch the puck, meaning he was also credited with scoring the empty net goal. Thats right, a penalty and a goal on the same sequence. Not something you see everyday, but it could only happen against Buffalo. I cover all that and more in todays NHL hockey video!

The worst day of a hockey players life is realizing you've been traded to the sabres. The best day is realizing you've been traded away.
Honestly, I think next seasons hot new rookie is gonna go to Buffalo
reimer deserves better
Worst franchise in sports. The NY Jets and Anaheim Angels don’t even come close and that’s impossible.
How on earth are there any Buffalo Sabres fans left???
I would never have imagined a player could score from the penalty box, wild.
People wanted to talk about Saint Louis being cursed and I for sure wanted them to win the cup the year they did but they ain't got nothing on a Buffalo team, that city is cursed apparently
Bunch of overpaid morons on Buffalo right now
What the hell? Buffalo Sabres soul has already been robbed clean, whats there left to take? Feel so bad for that team and its fan base
Just move the Sabres to Quebec
I scream that anytime a penalty is called. Give the other team the puck. Especially if your PP team is out there already. Don't dawdle and get more tired. In this situation it was imperative to give up the puck quickly and have two man advantage.
This is sad and buffalo 🦬 will eventually be moved cuz apparently the owner wont put any money into this team get good playes hes just trying to suck as much money and profits from the team without putting anything back into it!! A team fails only for so long b4 its sold or moved look at the penguins b4 Crosby that team almost got bought and moved and dirt cheap but they got the draft pick and that saved them.
lolmao
😂, I have never seen anything like this in my life!
My Sabres are the Snow White of Hockey.
As a Leaf fan, I feel their pain. Don’t worry Sabres fans your team will bounce back. I’m old enough to remember the French connection, the Hasek years and the “Mayday” call. It will get better once there is a management change and the Ruff revolving door comes to an end.
Buffalo is good enough not to end up last every season but they aren’t good enough to even come close to the playoffs
Time to move to Phoenix.
Houston TX waiting for you, Sabres
Kind of like how Nathan Horton scored from the bench.
You just can't fix stupid and I mean the fans. Keep going he keeps making money and you are not smart enough to figure it out. Even a losing team makes money so why would he give it up. So keep contributing your hard earned money to a losing franchise. Like I said You can't fix stupid fans
The Sabres have already rebuilt, and it failed. The Sabres need a reset. Fire everyone in the front office and start from scratch.
But they ALWAYS seem to beat the Leafs.
I think Buffalo could be a very attractive market if office leadership made some better choices.
Mental error
0:00 Yes, stadium series game winning goal against the Wings.
Congrats to Buffalo, 14 years and counting.
I knew Terry was a gas man. I just didn’t know he would make them stink this bad. .
Every player needs to know ahead of time what to do in this situation, start taking the puck straight to the net and force the other team to touch it
