I truly believe that he is playing with a concussion. I have watched this exact same thing with our son, plays he could make in his sleep and then slowly he started making plays that didn’t make sense. We finally took him for a brain spec and discovered that he was living with a concussion. It also affected his eye sight and his hearing. We spent more on brain recovery than his on and off ice training fees. I hope it doesn’t impact him him permanently

Yes oilers have to go all in this year their window is closing fast w8th drysaitl extension kicking in , buchard needs a raise , mcdavid not far off of needing a contract and stuart skinner will want a raise to from his 2.6 contract
So the oilers get to the Stanley cup again and Mr plus minus, lol makes another critical defensive, be it only mental, or physical mistake, in leaving the zone too soon and a offensive player behind him scores, I always felt like the oilers would get to the cup and a bouchard blunder would be the final flaw.
Granted he does make some makar like offensive plays, and if he'd ever blast away instead of waiting a second or two, the bottom line is defenceman or defenseman, you've got the two best offensive players in the world, bouchard has to recognize that defense is what he is actually paid to do,

Problem is if they had to trade one it has to be Nurse and you need a team willing to take at least 2.5million to take his cap space to sell him for $7million. If your trading Bouchard then get you have to go to Buffalo get Power as he will be a top notch everything type of Dman at 8.5 million x7 or get Byram with 2 years at around 3.5 million. It has to make sense because Bouchard is a Valuable Dman.
Darrell Nurse is the Player you need to trade, but who in their right mind wants that contract ?
I was ready to move Bouchard 2 years ago. I couldn't care less about his points, as he is nothing short of a defensive disaster.
The majority of goals that are scored when Bouchard is on the ice, are commonly a result of his mishandling of the puck, turnover, giveaway, of just downright oblivious to how to defend. I've never seen a defenseman who handles the puck as bad as this guy does.
You take his 82pts in 81 games that season, and drop him on any other team without the PP of Hyman, McDavid, Draisaitl, and RNH, and watch those points get cut in half, and his +/- plummet in to the sewer.
$9.5M for this guy, is going to age worse than Nurse's contract, and that's saying something.
Bouchard is a defensive liability….said that for years and yet he's on the ice almost every time McDavid is out there so that's where the points would drop a minimum of 50% with any other team. Ditch him in the off season for the biggest bang for the buck. Oh and Nurse is decent but grossly overpaid.

Bouchard and nurse both need to be gone, trade Bouchard for a bag of pucks and trade nurse for a couple pylons. That's about what both these guys are worth. Just can't think of anyone who would want either. 😡
He seems like he's the only offensive defenseman on the Oilers
