  1. Okay, I know this was previously recorded because Rudo shaved his beard today. Nice Try, DNVR. Nice Try. Long live Teen Wolf.

  2. They cant move on from drouin even if landy is back, dude has taken a huge discount multiple times to stay here and probably would again, id much preffer they moved wood or coltons money out if they have to, both seem like they are over payed. Or even girards money.

  3. I just don’t see a spot for him outside of a bit of symbolic ice time, kinda like Stamkos in 2020. Would love to see him play but I just don’t think the playoffs is the time to put a guy that hasn’t played in years back into the mix in any significant role

  4. If he can't play at least effective third line minutes, his $7mill cap hit will harm the Avs chances beyond however this season turns out.

  5. I doubt Landy ever plays meaningful hockey ever again. I think putting him on the roster for the playoffs is a bad decision. No way will he be more effective than anyone we have now. If he does play in '25 it should be next November/December.

  6. Lonzo Ball came back and played just fine. I am expecting Landy can be a solid third liner or maybe he shocks us and is still a 50 point player

  7. 1) he comes back is a or 2nd or 3rd liner, we lose some of the assets we picked up he looses motivation again and retires,

2)he comes back as good as ever and hops back into a first or second line role and we lose a few assets due to cap

    3) he doesn’t come back we sign our assets build around the core we have.

    4) he comes back injures himself again forcing his retirement causing us to lose assets since retirement is worse than ltir? (I might be mistaken here)

It’s a pretty high risk high reward type situation it’ll be interesting to see how it plays out the moral boost alone will be huge do they put him as a 3rd or 4th until we can definitely tell his injury won’t cost us then bump him up the line, because costing people a spot who earned it while he was gone also hurts us, sure he’s our captain but he’s been absent for 3 years it’s honestly a weird situation

  8. Best case is you are right, he's a true top 6, and that he gets his game sense locked in from minute 1 but seems faster bc he hasn't just had his body hammered for 82 games. He could be a real spark that no one other team has.

Worst case, AJ is right, he plays this playoffs, he's, so-so, and decides to come back next year but now he's maybe a 3rd liner, probably more of a 4th and 7m for a 1m role means you gut your depth & end up with Kiviranta, who I love, playing 2nd line, which I don't and Miles wood and Colton needing to have 80 points between them.

I love Landy, but to me, best case, he has a solid playoffs, scores the game winner to life the cup (in OT of course, so the Disney movie doesn't need any fiction), and then calls it quit because being able to walk with your kids to their uni grad or down the aisle isn't done with a walker.

Bc, as much as I love Landy, 33 year olds w/no games in reg season in 3 full years I don't want to pay 7m next year no matter how much the cap goes up.
