   Ideally you dont want surgury. He probably tried to see if it could heal with rehab alone, like McDavid did with his knee a few years ago. Then decided that was not going to work.

   Tinfoil hat theory. Kane was game to sit out the season and come back for playoffs. Kane has been getting bad vibes or hearing things he doesn’t about his playing time or role come playoff season and is now looking out for himself.

   He’d better be returning after seeing how stagnant they’ve been during the deadline.
