    You can't trash the teams future thinking I'll be replaced by then. If the franchise is looking to sustain being competitive. You do what's best for the franchise not your career. You leave something for the next GM to build on. MB didn't exactly leave him nothing. He left him a good group of young talent like Suzuki, Caufield, Ghule and others to build out from.

    tampa fan here, but montreal is a team i like to watch from a distance and see them do well when they can.

    really enjoyed this interview with gm hughes. him and jeff gorton are doing a great job so far with the rebuild.

    would love to see MTL make the p-off's in 2025. bell center is the best arena for fan energy in the nhl.

    "playing our game"this is typical of b speeches what is OUR game?This team being praised for this season just finished maybe one of the worst games of the season with only 15 shots on net like wtf is that?Sure they won that game well this has been a LUCKY opportunistic year they are not playing as good as their record shows and THAT matters more than their record.
    The year they made the finals I said that was a sub par team that got lucky to make the playoffs and yeah I know the phrase" anything can happen".I didn't expect them to fall of as bad as they did the following year but I did expect a fall off.
    This team added a real good player in Hutson that is basically the ONLY positive since we already committed to Nick and Cole.Slafkovsky is barely a second line player he is leeching off a great season by Suzuki and Hutson and Cole and still barely adequate.
