  1. Yep, I was looking at free agents, Ehlers, Bennet and Mangiapani are players Canucks could consider. As for Brock, it reminds me of John Klingberg a few years back refusing a long term $8M offer from Dallas; and boy did Dallas dodge a bullate…

  2. How has everyone forgotten Brock getting ko'd and no one doing anything meaningful about it… canucks have been getting beat up all season and ppl wonder why they cant score

  3. Canucks refused to sign Guentzel for $9m a year. Now it is inflation year. They aren't going to sign Ehler for $10m a year, or Mariner for $14m a year.

Either way Boeser for $8m X 8 years will be a huge mistake. Let him walk.

  4. Brock is a one dimensional player. If he isn't in a position for a shot he's rendered useless. His skating is questionable, he's awful along the boards, he shies away from physicality and he constantly misses the mark with his passes. During the playoffs last year, Corey Perry bullied Brock and Brock appeared like he was going to cry. Have a backbone and at least push the stick out of your face. All we need is another soft European player on an already fragile team. Bennett should be the main target as his entire game is what the Canucks lack. Ehler's is consistent because he clearly has chemistry with the players on Winnipeg's roster. They also have a good mix of North American talent which is something Allvin never considers. We need to trade Allvin for an ancient clipboard then perhaps we'll have a chance at a cup. Allvin left this lineup as thin as a piece of paper. Tocchet is fed up with what he's been left with and the loss of Chytil isn't going to help. Management just sat back in the hopes of making the playoffs and all that did was confirm that Quinn is as good as gone!

  5. I am a Jets fan ! I was thinking Ehlers would go to the Habs next season ! The Jets wont be able to sign him . And the Jets got some guys coming !

  6. He’s underplayed 2 of 3 years current $6.65AAV contract. Why would he deserve a raise. Obviously 31 GMs did not think he’d even worth 1st rd if they cannot sign him for a sub $6.65 AAV. He’s going to be very disappointed come Jul 1. End up with something like a Klingberg. His UFA years was a disaster.

  7. Ehlers and Boeser's career stats are almost identical yet everyone is ok in signing Nikolaj long-term with a big raise and not Boeser.

  8. The Canucks should be calling and asking about Kyrou, Mercer or Buchnevich. I’ve done every simulation possible with the Canucks in NHL 25. The Canucks are built similarly to Vegas, 1 superstar forward (Eichel, Petey) 9 solid Wingers who can all play up and down the line up. The thing Vegas has that makes em a true contender is down the middle their deep aswell, that’s where the Canucks are shallow. Solid tandem in net and Quinn Hughes is a game changer so I believe both bluelines are closer than people think.
