Do Canucks have a chance against Jets in playoffs?

TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button and TSN Hockey analyst Cheryl Pounder join Domino’s That’s Hockey to share what chance they’d give the Canucks at knocking off the Jets in a potential first round matchup, and if they think Winnipeg’s past playoff disappointments could be a concern despite the amazing season the team is having.

  1. Never say never especially if that Demko guy is 100 percent not saying the Canucks win but they would have a chance tbh

  2. Tocchet is trying to change EP40 into a north style player. This is insane. From 102 points to what under Tocchet (and now the they need creative/smart players that score goals)? Legends in the league have played East-West and re-group. Peter Forsberg comes to mind. Unstoppable. Vancouver Canucks would do better with a coach like Rikard Gronborg or similar.

  3. I will be following the Jets and the Maple Leafs. I suspect the Jets will go farther than the Maple Leafs. These two teams are my choices for the Stanley Cup.

  4. Yes I know the Jets have lost the last 2 playoff rounds in 5 games BUT I have been saying this since last season during Bones’ absence and again now, Arniel has the Jets playing with pace and aggression, something that wasn’t part of Rick’s systems. Arniel is the right coach for this veteran team.

  5. The Jets are playing like a team with something to prove. They’ve got a chip on their shoulder and it’s showing. They’ve still got a bad taste in their mouth from last year. If they lose, they’ll leave it all on the ice. Hard to beat.

  6. 2:56 I don’t want to dismiss the Canucks entirely although I believe that between them and the Jets, the Canucks have:
    – limited depth scoring
    – not qualified for playoff action in consecutive seasons from the 2013-14 season onward
    – not, following their 2011 Stanley Cup final appearance, had playoff success in consecutive seasons

  7. Canucks won't even make the playoffs. They have a murderers row schedule to close out the season and will be lucky if they can go 5 -10.

  8. Yeah TSN and Sportsnet have been bias ,always talking about Toronto or Vancouver. The Jets have been the best all year 🎉

  9. Hockey Psychology on YTY did a great breakdown on how the Jets are playing right now IF you want more !

  10. Well right now it’s 3-1 for the Canucks after the first period. So at this point I’d say yes !

  11. these guys have been talking about the game long enough to know everything resets in the playoffs. They should know jets are notorious for being a regular season team, only to choke in the playoffs

  12. Every team that makes the playoffs has a chance. Does this one game mean anything to what happens in the playoffs if the Jets and the 'Nucks were to meet? No.

  13. Alot of times in playoffs. The strongest team has been upset. If the Canucks play like they played the Jets last night and do that every game, then they have more then just a chance. Even more so if Demko is healthy. Jets have been at the top of standings for a few years now, and they drop every time.

  14. Canucks absolutely spanked the jets last night. Looks like we proved the doubters wrong. Let’s do it in the playoffs!
