  1. I just assumed Ekblad called Bettman a dumb old guy that desperately needs a hair transplant and should just retire already god damn it! Bettman definitely won't tolerate that shit. 🤪

  2. THG is too kind a soul for this world if he genuinely believes it was all just a big misunderstanding

  3. If it was an allergy medication he wouldn’t be getting 20 games for it. If it was a tainted supplement from GNC I doubt it would be 20 as well

  4. What? Has any NHL player ever been busted for steroids? I mean its pretty obvious the majority of the league, or at least a big, big number of them, takes performance enhancing drugs. Anyone who works in healthcare and sports sciences can attest to that. So someone getting busted for that means either 1: they are cracking down on it now for some reason or 2: the player really fucked up and made it so obvious that its impossible for the league to pretend they didn't see it.

  5. i do not understand why you chose Celbrini. Don't get me wrong, he is an excellent player. But Hutson is a defenseman, and he leads all rookies in points, as a DEFENSEMAN. Hutson is the clear favorite. Getting points as a forward is far easier then a defenceman, especially as a rookie.

  6. I think Ekblad is a good hockey player, but there is nothing in his game that suggests "enhancement". Context is really important. Its a shame that all the doping that used to happen is causing pro sports to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

  7. I know I pay attention to the Canucks more than anyone else, but like… is it normal to have a team so plagued by injury? I feel like it's every year with this team. Is there like… a trainer or medical staff problem there? Or just very unlucky coincidence?

  8. The very rare PED fail in the NHL. I met a guy like 10 years ago when i was bartending that drug tested athletes, we talked about PEDs and their commonality, its rather scarce compared to popular opinion. He never had anyone but MLB and NFL test dirty and even that was very rare. In my 20s i was benchpressing over 400 lbs and leg pressing 1800 lbs, i didnt use PEDs just hard work and good genetics. Just because people can do things you can't, doesn't mean they needed help.

  9. To me, Hutson should win it. If Celebrini didn't missed a game of the season while keeping this kind of production, he would've win it. But man when I see Wolf play he's so good. Such a great year for the Calder race!

    Go Hutson 🔥

  10. Wolf should get the Calder, Before the season started the Flames slated 29th, if they make the playoffs this year it will be all because of Wolf. The other two are good but not game changers for their bad teams…

  11. Illegal and avoidable check to the head and concussion gets you what ? Few games ? I'm not sure why but something doesn't feel right

  12. Corticosteroids (prednisone, hydrocortisone, dexamethasone, ie) are not the same as anabolic steroids and wouldn’t trigger a positive result on test.

  13. Great. Using your largest advertiser, 41 games. Using a banned substance 20 games. Piledriving a player to the ice, 8 games. Its easy to see the league and NHLPA care very little about actual player safety.

  14. 20 games !!!! seems insanely excessive; assuming this indeed was as innocent as he's making it out to be. Very surprised… BUT THEN, end a human being's career with an elbow to the head causing lifelong concussion problems? 5 ~ 8 games … 'cause, HOCKEY MAN'S GAME!

  15. I mainly watched the TSN coverage of the deadline because I like their hockey insiders more (Pierre Lebrun, Bob McKenzie, Darren Dreger, Chris Johnston)

  16. now to find out if THG says anything about suspension without pay, does that give FL more cap room so Tkachuk can come back before the playoffs if there is cap room and then we don't have to do the Vegas routine.

  17. hudson should get the calder not only because of rooky stats but also because he is in the top ten of d man stats for points & assists & THAT is something special ~ last i checked he was # 4 in assists for d ~
also he wasnt on any radar coming in ~

  18. I think what Hutson is doing is historic, never seen (super rare) before as a dman, while Celebrini isn’t breaking records really. Celebrini is amazing, I’m just saying, it’s been done before, unlike what Hutson is doing.
