The first hit should not have been anything. The Nashville player is what, 6'6"? He didn't come in with his elbow, he tucked his arm in and used his shoulder. He didn't target his head, leave his skates, jump into him, nothing. Is it the taller players fault the Blues player only comes up to the Pred player's chest?
That being said, Neighbors has some BALLS!
Commentary in hockey now is just a bunch of cry babies. If you wanna ref the game go out on the stripes. If not call the game,

Terrible calls – AGAIN. What is with this officiating??? First guy had the puck, and a fraction of a second before he's checked, he loses it. That's not a penalty – they call a major/miscon. Tucker's was a blatant elbow to the head – no big deal, don't even look at it. Mind boggling how officials can actually see what happened in replay and STILL get it wrong or ignore the same or worse penalties. It's like these guys are showcasing themselves to be NFL officials for KC Chief games.
First hit was clean and the second one was definitely at least a minor. Refs ruin everything. We’re going to find out after he retires that bettman started a McNamara’s morons program but for refs 10 years ago.
Terrible call!!! NFL refs are so inconsistent and killing the game! Let the boys play and stop working about nicklle and dime calls!
With these types of inconsistent calls, the refs will continue to bitch about verbal abuse on the ice

Hard elbow to head? 2 minutes.

Fast game. Difficult to let up on hits. The players used to protect themselves from hits in years past

I played hockey for almost 35 years. Im so glad i didnt grow up playing this lame ass version.
The Blues players told him to go back down to a knee to make it look worse than it was. God, please don't let the NHL become like soccer with its diving and embellishments.
Blues fan here. McCarron, great hit . It's not his fault he's taller than the guy he hit. 5 minute major call is terrible. Maybe 2 minutes. Tucker got 2 minutes for "illegal hit the head." Whaaaaaat? Shouldn't that be a 5 minute major. Pretty poor officiating. Glad the Blues played a good game though.
