  1. yeah yzerman wasn't even trying to trade for a 30 goal scorer, he sat on his hands like he does every deadline and dubas didn't really want that package he just didn't want to trade rakell so made a ridiculous ask knowing no one would meet it 😂

  2. I dont care what other folks say bou Yzerman. I believe in his long game. If we can suck now but be good for years to come. Ill embrace the suck for now. Everyones got bad signings, bad drafts, bad years in a row. Literally who else would we trade Yzerman for? Who would get us to the cup sooner. I enjoy the trade deadline and off season FA period jus like the next guy. But some agents and GMs are out of their minds when it comes to the asking price. Good follow up vid Lego

  3. Older Wings fans will remember some of the wingers made valuable by HoF centers. Yzerman, Fedorov, and Datsyuk made guys like Sheppard, Abdelkader, Ysebaert (and a couple of other mid players) play well over their typical ceiling. Dubas was looking for a mark.

  4. Dubas wanted as much for Rakell as Rantanen was with a sign and trade. Think about that stupidity.

  5. Wow who would’ve guessed that Yzerman was right. People overreacted so hard about Steve not making any huge trades when he was completely right not to do so

  6. Dubas has a history of being a dumbass! There’s only a handful of players in the league worth a trade like that! And Rakell is far from being one of them!!! No offense.

  7. I like that Dubas asked high, he didn’t want to trade Raks for anything less than the ask and that’s fine. You need to keep pieces around for the future but if someone wants to meet your price great and if not they keep the Rust Crosby Rakell line together.

  8. all the fare weather red wings fans always complaining about why yzerman isn't making deals at the deadline and this is why… because everyones price was pelika and yzermans not a moron and not about to give that up for anything and why should he.

  9. That's why I don't freak out of a lack of trades. Too many armchair gms act like you can just take whoever you want and give back whatever you want.
