A amazing player, a good guy and such a motivation when he was in Colorado, I hated when he got traded but those unfortunate things can happen. Hope he does well in Dallas but he will always be a Avalanche by heart.
Mikko will always be an Avs legend and we will never forget him. Him and Nate together made each other special. That's what we will miss the most….the best duo in the NHL the past 7 seasons.
I went to that game earlier today at Ball, and was disappointed to see fellow avalanche fans booing him just because he faced contract difficulties he couldn’t control. Once an av always an av! You did awesome things for the avs Mikko! I cheered for you like everyone else should have!

I cried when we traded him, he’s the reason I started to like hockey, my first jersey was his (now I have 3 of them) I wore his jersey to my first live avalanche game (December 17th 2018 vs the islanders) I wore it front row to the parade and even named my dog mikko. Love that man so much and will root for him wherever but I will not ever root for the stars as a team
