With regards to the date of elimination this year vs last year, it's also worth noting that the date of elimination might've actually been earlier than you suggested last year. I'm the one who made the post in a few places about us being eliminated and I factored in all of the games for every team. We're eliminated now because Vancouver and St Louis play each other Thursday so one of them will get two points, but last year's mathematical elimination date didn't factor in games between other teams.
ETA: Last year we had 18 games left when we were eliminated, this year it's 14. We had 39 points through 64 games compared to 45 points through 68 this year. At 64 games this year we were at 43 points, so 4 points better.
They need to strip the C though
I’m sure it’s in the docket. But would like to see a video on your thoughts with what path to take with the pick abundance we have.
Do we:
1. Use the picks. Gonna be able to add a top prospect and lots of who knows. Hopefully a lot of depth.
2. Trade up as we did for Dickerson. Lessen the depth but possibly a couple better prospects.
3. Trade some good picks for a young talent to complement the players we have.
Isn't the prior commitment to play hockey?
After Grier's commetns of 'you can win with all Smtihs and Celebrini's' (or whatever it was), i wonder where Misa and Hagens are on his draft board.
I wonder if its closer to 1. Schafer, 2. Marton, 3. Misa, 4. McQueen, instead what we all expect
No matter where the Sharks draft, its most likely in the Top 2. Anyone they draft will be a valuable high end prospect that could be traded later. Let's say they draft #2 and the Hawks draft #1. The Hawks have more than enough young defensemen. That is what Hawks TV media broadcast said. Connor Bedard needs more forward help. Hawks should draft Misa based on need. The Sharks need defensemen. Sharks get Schaefer at #2. If the Sharks draft #1 they take Schaefer.
Logan is on LTIR correct? They are just paying him for the rest of his contract.
Capitals game reminded me of the Wild game earlier in the season. They are bigger heavier teams. The Caps could win the cup.
Im convinced the brass want him to retire and be a coach. Logan wants to still play but the brass thinks he has been gone too long and can only hinder the development or isnt good enough to fit with the kids
