With now examples of excuse-making with injuries, teammates, and now the media, should we be talking about trading for Pettersson again? Sneaky Joe believes it’s getting more and more likely that he is traded, and why not believe the Sabres are one of the front-runners again?

Who cares about these trades now. Unless its a sign and trade why would you trade for him. You're 12 points out of a playoff spot. You would need to finish the season on like a .700 win rate to even sniff the playoffs. If its not going to improve the team for next year who cares. Im not saying sell the team for draft picks because im tired of draft picks as well, but we need to trade for actual NHLers who will be here on the short (3+) to long term. The sabres do this every year, suck for the first half then try to make a run late and always come up short.
So you’re going to trade a player who has confidence problems (cousins) for another player that has confidence problems—and one with a larger contract? I don’t think that is smart.

It's intriguing to try to make a move for him but if it didn't work out.. I don't think i could stomach another debacle of sending away talent to another team and remaining in the basement wondering what we need to do to be better.

Barking up the wrong tree with this Pettersson nonsense. For one, Adams will NOT pull the trigger on a big trade…..won't happen with that GM. And two, they dodged a bullet when Miller was traded away and Pettersson stayed and hasn't performed since. Let it go.
I’m not giving up on this season in my heart as a fan, but I’m being realistic. It’s essentially over.
Looking ahead to next season, I’m looking forward to a 50/50 split with UPL and Levi if Levi can carry this season over to next. I’m hoping for somewhere around a 25/20+ win split respectively between the 2 of them.
As a Canucks fan, I'd love to see Petey go to the Sabres and get a fresh start.
Sabres are by far the best last place team in the league.

Typically 4th line players are physical, aggresive & low minute ice time costing little on cap. Playing Krebs a 1st round draft pick & hasnt really become one expected to be is getting paid too much & Benson another 1st rounder should have returned to junior, played in WJC & When eligible returned to Rochester to find his role in the NHL. If considering Tuch in a trade then he we go again remember Eichel, Montour, Reinhardt. Dont expect a significant trade because Greenway is back & the team is playing well.Dont forget Levi is our future & UPL could be traded (why)

Pettersson has 5 more points than Cozens. Dumbest ever idea trading for him.
Any trades the Sabres may make at the deadline will be minor. Cozens, Tuch, Byram, Samuelsson, Quinn, etc., etc. are going nowhere. Trades that might occur would likely include Clifton or Bryson who have both seemingly fallen out of favor with Ruff. Might also see players like Lafferty, Malenstyn and Aube-Kubel hit the bricks for 6th or 7th round picks. Clifton and Bryson might get you 5th rounders, but…???

Trading Byram would be a bad move
Moments of Brilliance last night vs Ducks. They really were moving the puck well and were up against a strong goal tending performance through 2 periods. I like the way the TEAM responding in the scrums except for POWER is is so WEAK.. Man this kid has no FIRE from what I can see. But overall.. a good character performance.

NO, you do not trade Byram in a Pettersson trade. You offer Cozens and a top 12 protected 1st, maybe a B level prospect. Id only trade for Petey if Vancouver retains at least 2 million.
