Should he get moved I think it’ll be a situation where it’s two playoff bound teams that need an upgrade. I understand Edmonton needs his exact skillset. But if they could significantly improve scoring on the wing, the D or goaltending, and a trade includes Kane then why not. I’m at this point of no longer feeling the need to be attached to players. NHL teams are a business and should be focused solely on winning at whatever the cost. If he stays, he’ll be lethal. Without a doubt, but if he’s moved then I’d believe it’s to upgrade/strengthen another positional need
It would make no sense to trade him because we would have to give up sweeteners therefore losing assets. Obviously the move is to keep him on LTIR until playoffs. If Kane is pushing to return early (selfish move) then GM tells him he'll be traded to non- contending team. Kane won't want that – and he'll have to wait 'till playoffs. Stan needs to play hardball here, we are in Cup Window and need to maximize opportunities
Move him. He was underwhelming last year in the playoffs.
If Evander Kane was thinking genuinely about his careers future this would be a no brainer, be 110% for the cup run and prove your worth, while showing you’re still the same player. Instead, it seems like dysfunction may be headed the oilers way down the stretch. This goes back to letting Fogele and Holloway walk as well, and band aids fall off (Podzy, Arvid)

Kane doesn't want to stay on LTIR, so Oilers will be over th cap and too many NMCs to get under the cap, so Kane needs to go.
