The Buffalo Sabres beat the Vegas Golden Knights in a shootout on March 15, 2025. The Golden Knights led the game 1-0 after one period of play. They brought the tally up to 2-0 early in the second, and were met with a response from the Sabres’ Ryan McLeod on the rush. Jason Zucker tied the game on a power-play goal early in the third. This was his tenth power-play goal of the season. With 13.6 seconds left in the game, and Vegas leading 3-2, Rasmus Dahlin tied the game, taking it to overtime. A scoreless overtime led to a shootout, where Jack Quinn and Alex Tuch scored. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen blocked shots from Vegas’ Jack Eichel and Pavel Dorofeyev.

  1. Something about that win really felt good! They played well enough and stood up for each other. Well Sammy was still Sammy and Power handed out ice cream smoothies as usual.

  2. McLeod is a diamond in the Ruff…. Zucker is that guy who always seems to get it done. Benson is a workhorse with loads of talent. Tuch is the mailman, delivers! Dahlin has become an absolute leader. How do we break the curse?
