After missing the last two days of practice Nikolaj Ehlers was back on the ice for morning skate as his club gets set to face the Stars. He spoke about dealing with things at this point in the season, play of linemate Cole Perfetti, his slash on JT Miller last game and more.

This game has a lot of significance…..Dallas now has a new offensive weapon in Rantanen and the Jets have more defensive depth with Schenn and Tanev. We are at crunch time now and all teams in the playoff hunt want to define themselves.
To win in the playoffs you need all 4 lines to contribute….there can be no passengers and it's time for guys like Perfetti to be a factor….he has the ability and now he has to show his grit and determination to be a factor every game moving forward. Also Connor has to become a force every game as in the past he seems to become invisible during the playoffs. Helley despite all his Vezina dominance during the regular season, still hasn't established himself as a playoff performer. For the Jets to even have a chance of going deep in the playoffs he has to be their best player. He's needs to steal a game for them here and there.
If all these pieces of the puzzle come together…the Jets have a legitimate shot.
He is one of the leaders, of the jets go jets go🎉
Hopefully Ehlers reads these, but he’s been my favourite player on the team and in the league for those 10 years and I enjoy watching his speed every game. He’s second in my book ever only to Nicholas Lidstrom with the Detroit Red Wings!
Class act. Nik for mayor!
