Not really horse related but more week related. Anyone else worried about attendance numbers dropping again? It’s becoming more expensive for people to stay in the area and harder to justify spending that sort of money when the races aren’t as competitive as they could be? Just wondered what other viewers opinions are?
Has the yellow clay not had to many runs like potters charm
Another informative programme, guys. When race horse careers have finished. Would you consider it appropriate and positive to have a register of ex race horses to monitor their health and well-being? Surely racing could fund this in some way?
As always brilliant shows, both the senior and junior B 😂. Question, as Frank gave a filthy lucky 15 last week, can ruby and Rory give us a combined one?
Please tell me, when I look at a racecard, are any allowances already deducted from the weight published or do I have to deduct them? Thanks.
Question/opinion from both if possible, id love to know what their top 3 lays for the Festival are
Can the panel just clarify what the handicap rules are for each race like novices and limited, or at least point me into the place that lists them completely
Question for Rory and ruby ,should Fact to File drop right down in trip , seems to be a horse with more speed than stamina and think he would suite a strong gallop in the champion chase or the Ryanair ?
Question for next week: 4 of the last 10 Champion Hurdles have gone to mares (and they have a good hand this year). 0 of the last 30 Stayers Hurdles have gone to mares. Why do Rory / Ruby think this is?
Was there no show this week lads? Or was it postponed due to the sad news of Michael O’Sullivan.
Listening to Rory, great knowledge but I thought I was on 2x speed with how fast he talks 😂
The weights are not yet out for the County Hurdle cavalry charge but I think Absurde may be good value at 7/1 to retain his title. Mullins has the option to keep Daddy Long Legs in the race & as he is rated 8 lb superior to Absurde, the latter should get in with a "good racing weight".
Absurde's flat speed (Chester Cup & Ebor Cup winner) is vastly superior to everything else in the race, so he probably just needs to be in reasonable touch with the leaders at the final hurdle to repeat last year's victory. He will probably be 3/1 favourite on the day. Would prefer better ground but did win on heavy last year.
Kopeck De Mee appears as favourite in some lists, but hasn't been given a handicap mark yet, & also has entries in the longer Martin Pipe & Coral handicaps, with Absurde having just the one entry for Cheltenham.
Excellent as always ❤
