Every time a player comes and goes they play better on another team every time
Soucy is playing on a stronger blue line. Brock should come and join him and JT.
I think Boeser should get 7.5-7.65 million for 6-7 years I personally think he deserves around a 1 million dollar raise over his old contract which was 6.65 million.
Don’t care about boesers poor cry about loyalty. The best way to show loyalty to your paying fan base is to produce. And right now don’t feel bad about your poor value. If one doesn’t produce at work esp in sales! You out bro. Face it like a freaking man not a pansy!
They better not lose these guys for nothing. They could have even moved Suter for a 2nd rounder and signed him again in free agency. It seems like whatever management team is here, they're terrified to make any moves that would hurt their playoff chances a month down the road. Well what about next year? The year after that, Etc? That's how you know it's the owner that's the problem, if he is giving them a' must make the playoffs" mandate. That's how you just build mediocrity ,not a cup winner.
It's all in the way that you deliver the message. Laughing while delivering the message was not very professional in my opinion. Farhan clearly wasn't impressed with the way that it was delivered. Perhaps Allvin didn't realize how people may take his comment about the offers he was receiving for Brock. If one were to reverse the tables and Brock was to deliver the very same message about the offer Allvin had made to him while laughing, how would Allvin had perceived it? I may be wrong, but that is how it was taken by everyone that I had discussed it with. Having said that, only Allvin, Brock and his agent are the only ones that should be concerned as it is their business to discuss. I took it as a strategy to get Brock to sign for less. Similar to that of an arbitration hearing. Arbitration hearings do also have the ability to go sideways. It appeared to me that Brock does not want to leave Van as he and Petey are supposedly best friends. We will know by what Allvin offers him next, if indeed he decides to make an offer. It may be that Brock's agent overvalued and misled him into believing he could get much more than 8 x 5. If that's the case, he should change agents as he just lost Brock his biggest payday!
Cap is going up. pay that man 8×6 , otherwise sign him short term at 9 mil and try to see if he can get back to 40 before giving him long term money. Debrusk is looking like the same type of player for WAY LESS. we can find a few more of those in free agency every year. Shoulda traded Suter tho , he not gonna be a long term plan here
Chityl scored a goal in Vancouver in his first game too. It’s just the way it always seems to go
I'd bet money there were no trades because ownership meddled again. They want those home playoff dates and Boeser was only fetching picks and prospects and that would have made the Canucks weaker short term. It would have meant they'd be doing the right thing when it came to building a contender, but it's about those 2 home playoff games – which they'll probably get torched in, if they even get there. Imagine they don't make the playoffs anyway, Quinn is out for a while and they lose Suter and Boeser for nothing. This is not typical Rutherford behaviour. He's aggressive and usually gets what he wants. But this didn't happen and I'm sure ownership decided it was worth losing 2 key guys for nothing just to make home playoff revenue. The problem is that even if some fans boycott, there will be others willing to take their place.
Mediocre team will always be medicore i thought we wouldve been head to head with edmonton with wont happen this team will always try to Bamdaid a Severed wound
It’s because the Canucks coach has this shitty dump and chase offence that doesn’t produce goals. Unskilled bums dump and chase in offence. Even on the power play the Canucks dump it it at times. WTF?
Boeser still has time to sign an extension, and management still has time to trade him before free agency. Canucks are smart for not making a bad trade. 2 2nds don't equal a Boeser or a 1et, I'm sorry. Whether the Canucks should focus on making the playoffs or further retooling to contend in the future is a separate debate.
