  1. If we can get a player like. Kyrou out of St. Louis would be great (very unlikely I’d imagine) it’s hard to find that 2C from a team that’s willing to take Futures

  2. Am I the only one who thinks Beck has a higher ceiling then Kapanen and Newhook? No slight to those guys, I am just a huge Beck fan.

  3. I did already think Hughes was holding out until the draft anyway as trade deadline tends to make too expensive.

  4. I find it really interesting that Hughes is talking about culture, does it mean we will be drafting players even if they're a bit lower so they can fit our team needs and not rush for talent just like we might've done too many times.

  5. Roy had good chemistry with Anderson in training camp, was hoping they'd be paired together but we shall see!

  6. Hey guys; love the show. But ye gotta do something about sharing your screen for stats. Fill the screen ,increase the font, perhaps. Kind of pain to run up to a tv screen to read them. Hope you read this. Not horrible on a tablet, 12” from one’s peepers, but 8 feet from a tv screen – eye-strainers to say the least.

Next year; heads will turn and the bleu-blanc-rouge are going to make a bit of noise – no, a big bang and Olay Olay. Hughs will seek solid d-man and I say stick with Dach. If he comes back fully healthy, I still think he has stuff off the charts we aren't seeing yet. If we can get a second line centre, great but if not, i really don't think we absolutely need it. If we have one 1st line and three 3rd liners, along with our ‘x’ factors. Demidov , Lane; Martin St. Louis genius; solid goaltending x 3 ( if you ask me) we will scare the league into a new Habitant era.

  7. Horvat is the only one I can think of that you could acquire with futures only. That’s who I would go for. Signed for a while. Left shot. Great on faceoffs. Should consistently get you 50-65 points for another 3 years. Worth a couple firsts and a B prospect, but might cost more.

  8. 2 players that I really like for Hughes to go after are: Stutzle and/or Boldy. But they are probably untouchables…so just wishful thinking on my part..

  9. I think the trade for Nemec would be actually not bad, as he has an OK season in AHL but not a good performance in NHL, but he was called in to NJ and then they got some D's before deadline. He sees that he has no future in the team and I think it had big impact on his last match. With his current season he could be traded for cheaper than last season. Montreal seems to be a place where they are willing to give a grow space for young players.
