@Vancouver Canucks

We haven’t seen him do this in FOREVER…

The Vancouver Canucks beat the Minnesota Wild 3-1. Elias Pettersson sniped one and Kevin Lankinen stood on his head. Brock Boeser amidst trade rumours stays with the club and bags himself an assist tonight. Overall I thought the wild were the better team, Brock Faber with a nice goal, but a late one from Kiefer Sherwood propels the canucks back into a playoff spot.

  1. This is pettey's team now. I think with miller here he maybe felt like he didn't have to step up as much and of course miller disliked him and pettey has injurie and confidence problems.
But perhaps this will be the start of the turnaround for pettey, lets go #40!

  2. If the Canucks make the playoffs its fine, many people think losing in the first round is pointless but getting playoff experience for these guys is meaningful. Even if Boeser walks because the contract ask is too much its ok. The issue will be replacing him with another scoring winger. Trading for Rakkel could make sense if he leaves but you're giving up assets to get a guy like that when all you need is $$$ for Boeser.

  3. The effort from Petey is back for 2 games now. Hope he keeps it up. Doesn't matter if he gets points, if the efforts there. Points will come. He could of had a couple or more goals too. That was an absolutely super star slap shot.

  4. When you really think about it, out of the 16 playoffs teams, there will be probably only around 8 contending teams that are going to buy high. How many 1st round picks that are really floating around? A lot of these teams probably don't even have any 1st round picks anymore. Oilers, TBL and Leaf don't have any for next 2/3 years

  5. Please stop booing the American Anthem
You idiots don’t even realize half of the team is American
I grew up in Vancouver and I am so disgusted

  6. No comment on being only two points behind LA. There is room for both Calgary and Van if LA gets knocked out.

  7. "A little bit of a bad look" for not signing Boeser is a lot better option than over paying a player for 7-8 years.

  8. EP Finally looking more confident the last two games. He's just starting to make plays and starting to look like he wants to control the play. This is the Petey we love.

  9. The last two games Petey looked like the Petey of old. He only has one goal to show for his efforts but that will change if he continues to play with confidence and shoot the puck.

  10. Keep it going E P 40. Love your playing in that game. I have faith in you . Have faith in yourself. Great game! Go Canucks Go. Sign Boeser, please!

  11. Boeser is my favorite Canuck. He's the longest current tenured Canuck. Do we not remember he becomes a beast during playoffs. Cmon where's his respect. Lots of points and goals from him. He's worth 8 million

  12. No no no we don’t “have to” sign Boeser now. That’s a huge fallacy. The fact is the offered trade returns from contenders were minuscule but his value on the open market will be set by minnows willing to overpay him. The Canucks are stuck in the middle and it turned out his value provided in helping them make the playoffs for Quinn and getting our rookies playoff experience, as greater than the alternative. Letting him walk is definitely a valid option. It sucks but it’s simply an outcome of how this season has gone.

  13. Classic ep 40 one T we need to have set power plays where we treat him like quinner and look for petey in a one T spot

  14. EP40 forechecking again, shooting and making things happen. Also smiling during the interview after the game.

This what the team and fans of Vancouver needs from him, hopefully a sign of better times to come!

  15. Woohoo! EP40 FINALLY did what he's supposed to do for the first time in 15 games!
Of course, he was a no-show the next game.
