I don’t think it’s a coincidence that when tanev goes down, all the sudden our defence becomes lacklustre, and we start blowing leads left and right after not blowing a single 3rd period lead all year
If I remember correctly, when we acquired McCabe, lafferty, acciari and O’Rielly, it took a while for the team to gel, and eventually the new guys fit in great, so I hope the same happens with Laughton and Carlo
You’re right, they haven’t developed much of a forecheck, but it seems like berubes offensive style favours North/South dump and chase forechecking
The last time I remember matthews completely taking over a game for us was I believe game 3 against Boston last year
