  1. Ordinarily, I would be saying "It's in Cardiff, Wales are really hard to beat in Cardiff."

But honestly this Welsh team would struggle to beat an Egg.

There you go boyo's some motivation for you.

Not that it's going to help, your Pack is going to get mashed and you don't win games with a pack going backwards.

  2. I have a weird feeling about this one, as an Englishman.

We're not playing that great despite the wins, Wales have lost the last 2 narrowly and always get up for England

  3. Come on you beautiful leek loving cousins, do it for us if not for yourselves. Remember, its only Engerland. Play like ye did against us and ye will win this one.
Wales to take the smellies, Scotland to beat the French and Ireland to hammer the Italians.

  4. Whatever happened to Gloucester 2nd Row Freddie Thomas who was called up by WAL?! Excited about Pollock, but why not have Ted Hill instead as 2nd/Back Row Cover & save Pollock for the Summer Tour?! CCS as 2nd Row Cover is bizarre! Tom Willis to the bench should feel hard done by!

  5. I hope Wales does it – and I’m half-English. The conservative, boring, negative, inconsistent,
bourgeois type, low passion and limited imagination approach of a SB England doesn’t invite a lot of support. Moreover, you have to hope Wales can end a horrible 16 game losing streak (even if their own union also isn’t too clever and doesn’t actually assist success). A fair end table position would have France first, Ireland second and Scotland third. Probably, however, Wales deserve to be last on balance. A lot may depend on the ref. I think they will now start to police the breakdowns differently (ie properly) – due to the DuPont injury. On feet and properly binding onto an opponent – as per the rules. At least, I hope they do. Wales may have the edge due to line-out, home crowd, more rugby nouse and a less structured / more courageous attitude. Moreover, it’s in Cardiff. The people there would love a win more than anything. They, at least, deserve one.

  6. Thanks Mark.
As you said if Wales starts badly it could become one way traffic as England won't drop off like Scotland did.
Could be an interesting back row battle for Lions spots. I really hope Toby can keep going the way he is and make his 4th tour.

  7. I know us England fans can be a negative bunch at times, but even so the current malaise seems unjustified. We're potentially going 4 from 5 this year (not counting chickens or anything!) and everyone still seems to be super unsettled and anti-Borthwick.
