Who designed this faceoff formation? The point of a faceoff is to win the puck back to one of your teammates, who stands behind the draw. But if you line up all along centre ice, you need to hope the other team wins, because then you get the jump on the D, who have to turn or skate backwards, causing a scenario like this one.

Honestly this goal and slafs second goal should have been called off the reffing was awfull all game and am i the only one who feels like the reffing is actually getting worst and worst and worst!! Obviously always gonna be weird calls or calls people won't agree to but across all nhl is been a horror for 2 or 3 years i feel like
I saw people on instagram complaining about how he jumped the face off, I don’t think it matters as long as your feet are on your side of the red line until the puck is dropped, looks perfectly fine to me

I don’t see a rule against what Montour did. As I read the rules you just can’t enter the face off area and the two guys taking the face off have to be square.

I'm a Nucks fan.. but still the refs should whistle on that faceoff.. Montour can't be in movement during the drop.. it's a rule.. Habs have been fool
