I created this video to show that the Toronto Maple Leafs have finally addressed their blue-line issues in a big way. The Leafs have acquired Brandon Carlo from the Boston Bruins. Brandon Carlo is a towering 6’5” shutdown defenseman who’s been a staple of the Bruins’ blue line for years. A second-round pick in 2015, he’s known for his strong defensive play, physicality, and ability to eat up big minutes against top competition. He might not put up big offensive numbers, but his impact in his own zone is massive. Oh, and let’s not forget—he’s battle-tested. Carlo has plenty of playoff experience, having gone deep into the postseason with Boston multiple times. He knows what it takes to win when the stakes are high.
