What did we just see?? Did we just see EP40 with a double fist pump then a "Let'sGo" after scoring that goal. When have we ever see him do that? Could it be he has a heart? Let's see if this game can be a springboard for this team. Lots of emotion at the end of that game. I only hope this team can stand up for QH a little more. They need to protect that dude at all cost.
I hope D Petey is fine. Dirty play by Zary, should get suspended but we'll see.

Right. Next game you will change your mind again. One game doesn’t change anything. We will never know this season.
People look to much on goals and assists instead of overall performance. If we look at expected goals (all situations) EP40 wasn’t even top 5 for the Canucks. If we look at xG% then it looks a lot better (80 %). He still have a way to go but till will give him some confidence. Also back pairings struggled which is worrying.
The amount of flames fans calling that D-Petey hit dirty and saying Zary was justified is baffling. Zary jumped up to the head and elbowed DPetey, then elbowed him when he was on the ice. Needs 2-3 games

He has single handedly destroyed this core and we want to give him credit for getting a tap in against a garbage team.
He’s only “trying” now so he doesn’t get traded before his no trade clause kicks in. Next season he will be back to floating and falling and whining again.
He will never score 20 goals again in his career.
He's always been a top 5 defensive forward, along the lines of Guy Charbonneau, who was the gold standard for defensive forwards in the 80s and 90s for Montreal and Dallas. But for that contract, he has to get back to an 80-100 point player. The last 3 games have been steps in the right direction. He hasn't put up huge numbers, but he's been a key player. He just has to keep up with the Ovechkin slap shot from the face-off dot and keep battling. He's never going to be a physical presence, but that's okay. He just has to be an excellent 2 way forward, and last game, he was. I've always seen him as Bergeron with more offence.
