  1. So happy to see you’re gonna talk about Caleb Desnoyers tommorow but now I’m worried after hearing Elliot may be leaving do you think that would affect our chances of drafting him in any way? I would love to hear your thoughts about this tomorrow.

  2. Briere ultimately got a 2nd, 3rd and Pelletier and about $9M in cap space by trading Frost and Farabee. I am very happy with the return. Frost and Farabee are marginal NHL players at best. As Torts has stated, the Flyers need to get better.

  3. Thanks for the show Rachel and Russ. Time to get a serious rebuild going, including the coaching staff. It's interesting that you mentioned moving one of the coaches up from LHV. At least there is some hope with that staff. If a coaching change is made, hopefully some players will get more of a chance at the NHL level. Also, Chris Pronger had an interesting discussion recently about Torts. It was worth a listen. It took him a few years, and several coaches to get acclimated to the league, if I recall correctly. Maybe, bring back the tablets to the bench, and start using more video training methods? Maybe even bring in a special advisor for the team's weak points. Now, a real coach would do that. Having an animated coach might be entertaining, but that's all that it is. 'Nuff said. See you on tomorrow's show.

  4. Great discussion. The roster configuration talk is the stuff I love.
    – For me next year I’d prefer Lycksell in the bottom 4 winger spot over Pelletier. He hasn’t shown much in is admittedly limited time
    – Where does Alex Bump fit in? He’s gotta be signed as well correct?
    – Hope Russ does an episode before the end of the month on the college free agent pool.

  5. One additional point on the Kuzmenko trade. I personally wanted him to stay. But remember Kuzmenko had to waive his NTC to come here. There was talk at the the time that Briere convinced him it would “be worth his while”or something like that. My theory is he told Kuzmenko he would try to trade him to a contender before the deadline in order to get him to waive his NTC.
