Great show and comments guys. The Habs are giving this fan some fantastic hockey and it great to see what they are doing. Better days are ahead and I see our Habs as a team to be reckoned with for years. Lots of youth, talent and leaders will see us win a cup in the near future.
lets not forget that they are still a few injuries from being a lottery pick team. this summer is crucial. they have to get that elusive number two centre, the real thing, dach is a winger if he recovers, and the d has to mature or add a real leader with size and skill. after tis year the only anchor contracts left by bergevin are anderson and gallgher who at least have goos contributions, especially f they make the playoffs, so how do the hans get a spuer star centre?
Zergas zergas zergas…dach sucks newhook suck hent Hughes just cant admit it if dach is on the 2 line were doomed might as well start over.. again let me remind us no 50 goal man or 100pt man in 40 years no cup 30 years were pathetic
Not nearly enough shots to be consistent and this has been a problem from day 1. So WHY is it a problem well for some like Hutson and Matheson they simply don't shoot enough. Both drive me nuts watching them and to think Matheson is 3rd in shots is incredible but he's tied with Gallagher who's ice time is too low. I noted last year that is Gallagher and Slafkovsky switched spots Slaf would go invisible and Gally could be a 30 goal scorer again. The other reason we get no shots is they play too much perimeter hockey and nobody can protect the puck to get it to the net.So it has been all about capitalizing on opportunities and judging by how bad NHL shooters are we can win games just by showing a better scoring IQ in spite of a lack of shots.
My question is what happens this summer when the Habs can grab a legit 2nd centre. If that guy wants $10m, and deserves $10m with the new salary cap, how does the team square that with Caulfield and Suzuki? What do they pay Hutson? I'm glad Kent is there running the show.
I think Montreal has to just work on keeping focused. I don't get in the locker room, but it seems like this group of guys have an actual team mentality.
They need to gear up for a trade to get a good all-round younger player, a package for a more mature difference maker, such as Owen Tippet. Primeau, 11, 28, 45, 55, 58, Roy could be parts of a package. If they want a center, Mason McTavish, no Zegras.
It's not hard to see that MSL is a family man just by the way he treats the players It's only unfortunate that it's a business and you have to make difficult decisions

I trust Hughes’ judgement!
Now this is a real classic!

Love the stories!
Must have smelt great in that sauna.

Surprised that they did nothing. Maybe help for Laval. Not a big deal.
great show boys !!
Natural progression rebuild don't force it
Don’t forget about the Petry and Allen thing
I agree with Nilan. They will not make the playoffs.
We are not a team built for the playoffs, and if we do get there, we'll be knocked out in the first round IMO.
Why try to fix something when it really doesn't need fixing, keeping this same group on this rebuild only makes sense 🤷

Nilan is one of my favourite Habs of all time……awesome to hear his views on the current Canadiens situation 👍👍👍
Was at the game in Van. 6 rows off the ice and LOVED THE GAME!!!

Newhouse needs a partner-chemistry. Dach on the wing. Roy is trade material.
Carrier is too small in the house, great skill and attitude but he needs to play with a real big tough guy.
