What a prospect pool for a team fighting for the President's Trophy. They really could've afforded giving up this year's 1st for a rental. It's a weaker draft you're only likely getting a career 3rd liner at best that late in the round. Let's just hoping running with what they had will work!
I think hard hitting will serve the Caps well in the playoffs it will set the tone and let the opposing team play with a little bit of paranoia 💪
I’m not surprised by the rivalry between these 2 teams. Many players from both squads faced each other in the AHL finals the last 2 seasons as members of the Bears or Firebirds.
I don't usually get to see the games, but I'm glad the Caps are playing more physically. According to the NHL site, Wilson had 7 hits vs. the Krakens. Second was Beuvillier with 4 hits. 4 hits, 2 blocks, 1 shot over 10 : 55. Not bad for a third/fourth liner. Of late, I get the impression Lindgren has been playing better than LT. LETS GO CAPS!!

You know the best part of McMichael and Protas’ success is the Caps can show any level of prospect that a couple years in the minors isn’t the worst thing. Miroshnichenko is also playing very well lately as has LaPierre. Guys can slowly plug and play. Hopefully Chesley, Hutson and Iorio can develop in the same way. Future is definitely bright.
