Imagine complaining about a 9-3-1 road trip record.
That's two playoff series wins.
I love Mitch with all my heart, and two things:
1) Of COURSE he scores the shootout winner after playing one of the worst games of his career. Of COURSE.
2) On the broadcast Friedge said "He's going to stay" like he was holding back from saying something even more definitive. I'm choosing to be optimistic.

Okay, so as a Leafs fan who grew up in Utah and immediately hopped onto UHC as my 1A/1B team – I've never rooted so hard against the Leafs. The boys from Utah oooze heart and fight and step up when needed. Absolutely buzzing after the Kesselring fight (which I'd give the decision to Kesselring, but full style points to Benny). If the Leafs had half as much fight in them as Utah has scrap I'd be loads more confident heading into the playoffs. Go Leafs Go, and Go Utah

Blaming individual players for organizational incompetence seems to be a running theme with the Leafs
I honestly feel like Robertson just doesn’t fit within the lineup. A fourth line role is not right for him, too small, loses so many puck battles.
There is always something wrong with this team. Currently, it is blowing leads after seemingly having the game won. A good bet would be, if you like that kind of thing, what will be next.
When Tanev comes back, who's 6 and who is 7th D?
I really like Bennie, but he does take a few too many penalties now and then (and even some that most definitely ARE NOT penalties Ooof Marone!)
I like Myers willingness to shoot the puck, but I see Myer's get hemmed into the D zone more often than Bennie…
But please for the love of God get OEL onto the 3rd Pair!
He's a left shot, so I think maybe that means he needs to be with Myers…
but style wise I think OEL fits more with Benoit…

Well if that game teaches us anything it's that yes, Woll was just recovering from an illness. For at least the second time this season, that's one of the better performances I've seen a goalie give, while giving up 3 goals. None of them you expect a save on. On the second he was too high for the reality of the play, but ultimately the defense had failed so catastrophically that he probably didn't even realize he had no teammates on his left. His job is to goalie-stare at the puck, so fair enough. The other 2 are pretty well unsaveable, or at least would require some luck. As the rest of the team got worn down he continued to look sharp. He was fantastic in overtime. I can't remember him ever being in a Shoot-Out before, but I guess it wasn't his first because they would have said on the broadcast if it was. But he was great there too, saved everything you'd want, only let in a ridiculous dangle (which Marner then preceded to one-up, with an even more disgusting dangle).
AND were up 3 – 0 in the 2nd ! And had to go to a lucky SO win to clinch it. Your story should be about how the Leafs are in trouble.
Still disagree. UTAH HC IS THE CLASSIEST NAME IN THE LEAGUE.

Benny is one of my favourite players to watch. He just crashes into everything. He's never done it before but somehow that Superman punch is so on brand.

okay alright alright ALRIGHT ! – let me get this STRAIGHT – in the NHL – you are heavily fined suspended and penisalized for hitting – touching – glancing – massaging the opponents HEAD with n errant (un)intentional elbow – shoulder – head – stick – knee – skate – < insert name of ANY other body part > – but it is somehow permitted ??? – hell no – ENCOURAGED !!! – to drop your gloves and pummel the dumb sh**t with your bare fist-ises ( both if capable ) for however long you can – breaking cheekbones – orbital bones – bloody noses – knock-out teeths-eses – rearranging jawlines – into an unrecognizable pulverized bloody-mess – with near criminal wilful harmful hateful GLEE smiling after the fact while sneering and humiliating the victim – then get APPLAUDED for it by the same audience who would scream for any errant elbow unintentional contact with said coconut of opposing player – MAKE IT MAKE SENSE PEOPLE – LIKE WTF !!!!

Re Marner: don’t hate the player, hate the game. Yes, it would be great to get a player that’s bigger and better and has FORTY more goals and 13 more points and is ..well…better. To be fair….leave Toronto for North Carolina? The BBQ ain’t THAT good.
Leafs haven’t played a full 60 minutes game since they beat Tampa back in November, that’s is one 60 minutes game all season, it’s so hard to watch this team mediocre play when you know talent wise they’re better than most of the teams they playe, but get caved in by inferior teams. Babcock was right when he said they have the skills but they don’t have the will, no killer instinct with this group. The only players with some killer instinct are, Mcabe, OEL, Benoit, Tanev. Matthew Knies and Stolarz. They seems to be the only ones who hates to lose.

Hey Steve! Fan in Utah here. I've been watching your content for quite some time now (five-ish years? I think?). Couple comments on your comments:
1) The official name for Utah is gonna be either Mammoth, Outlaws, or stay as Utah Hockey Club – according to the fans-voting poll they had at some of the home games in February. The official announcement is supposed to be coming within the next couple months, for sure before next season. They're working on it.
2) Delta Center was built for basketball, not hockey. There are plans to renovate it within the next couple years to make it more hockey-friendly – we didn't know we were gonna get a hockey team as soon as we did… Again, they're working on it, haha!
3) Boy that game was late in the day (even for local time) and stressful on all sides. Seeing Veggie and OEL exchange pleasantries after the collision was pretty wholesome, though! And the Super Benny hop going into the fight with Kess was unexpected and hilarious. Toronto is very lucky they won.

He trucked the goalie… What was OEL supposed to do when he was bumped buy Cooley or whoever it was. That should not have been goalie interference on OEL. Amd if you call that how do you not call interference on the Arizona play… Utah player… or at least call it a wash. And no penalties. That one and the phantom Benoit trip were the worst calls. NHL is full of newbie refs.

After 25 minutes shots were 18-6 Toronto. For the final 40 minutes (including OT) shots were 27-8 Utah. WTF?!?!?
