So we held on to boes for a chance to be swept in one round of playoffs, if by chance this trash team can even make it in.
Spoken like a true Canuck bandwagoner.
Fire Alviin
the way Boeser play now, he is not even worth 4M AAV
Boeser with his production wants more than 8 he can kick rocks
They wanted one of our best prospects thrown in….so it want a straight up offer
1st and KK, who’s a salary dump, is a joke it self. And stealing a Canuck top prospect is just ludicrous. Don’t deal with CAR GM, they’re just mad about Rantenan and Gentzel not wanting to stay in CAR.
Ya i think you covered just about all of it. Clearly they couldn't make the team better or at least break even in the deal. Like Trader Jim, i agree first round picks are way over valued especially when they are late first round picks. Let's look at what most Canucks fans had to say about giving up a first and third for JT Miller. The vast majority thought it was a stupid move and many were very passionate about their delusion. Out of those two picks one of the players played 1 NHL game. That is not really unusual, but most people think they are going to get the next Gretzky with their first round pick. The odds go up when it's a top 10 pick and even more when it is a top 5 pick. I am pretty sure the Canucks wanted a first and player right now that could help them in the stretch drive and didn't get it. Truth is although the Canucks made the back end really good, from trading Milsy, the lack of scoring went way down and without the a trade to bring in some more scoring, they basically said bye bye to playoff hockey for this year. The good news is if they stick to their strong defensive game they will be competitive down the stretch and this will be their playoffs. That is the most likely scenario with several teams getting hot now like the Blues, Flames, and the surging Ducks. The Canucks management have their hands full trying to get enough scoring for next year. The players they got really have a lot more offense potential but they just are not executing right now.
Saying they said no because they couldnt use that first to get another quality center is insane…We dont have any quality centers right now…KK would have added to our C depth on the 3rd line…plus we get back the first…but i guess it all comes down to what is the prospect we would have to give up…
When conjecture is extrapolated from rumours which were extrapolated from more conjecture…
Carolina was trolling for a sucker to bite on KK's contract and almost had one. Good on Aalvin for not making a deal to avoid the scrutiny of not moving Brock. Sounds like a deal with Florida was close but of course Marchand screwed us again. 😂
Get rid of these Clown🤡 Management group before they chase Hughes off this team in 2 Years or less..
Management are supposed to be stubborn but these guys are the worst and they BLAB their mouth off to Journalists…A Big NO NO
Rutherford didn't have to tell everyone about Petey and Miller even though most knew what was happening
Fake Chef Alviin 👨🍳 Is CLUELESS
Im glad Aquillini stopped this Trade otherwise Alviin would have thrown in one of our prospects
This means Alvin is a liar or hes incompetent, neither is good
It appears that JR let PA handle it all on his own this year and PA screwed the pooch! Regardless, this team isn't making the playoffs. It serves management right for the way that they've mishandled everything and disrespected players. Karma is a b@#$h! I have a gut feeling that JR will be forced to let Allvin go at the end of the season. He's clearly getting owned by the 31 other gm's as they seem to want more from Van than they do from other teams. The Beauvillier trade is mindblowing to me. Things are dead without a pulse and Allvin gifted the heartbeat of this team to the Rangers. Now Tocchet has to coddle Pettersson as his "A" should have been stripped long ago.
I mean, if the goal was to flip the pick to another team to get a player that can help now, 30 minutes is just too late, even if you think you have that deal lined up already. What if the team you have a deal lined up with is already on the phone pulling a last minute trade themselves? Zero room to maneuver and you are stuck with a pick. No you can argue that the plan was flawed and they should have just kept the pick, but then they are openly stating that this year is a bust which is not the greatest for team morale.
TDL Is over! Deal with it and move on. Stop the insanity
boeser highest point total was 73, worth like 8 million, definitely not more, maybe up to 8.5
They wanted one of our top prospects with Brock, so he did the right thing not trading
😂😂😂😂 let's laugh at Cunucks. Boeser is worse than Kk this year
The offer by the Canes I believe included Lekkerimaki or Willander from our end as well as Brock and KK coming back with the 1st. Terrible deal.
If it was Boeser for a 1st round pick (even if its a late one) straight up? You have to take that deal for a guy on an expiring contract. If it involved our prospects too, then I understand not making the deal. But Boeser for a first absolutely all day no reason not to.
Lego, I don't agree with you this time.
boeser is out to lunch if he turned down 8 😂😂
Why wouldn’t he want a shorter contract, so he can play at home before he retires? I guess he wants to go there sooner rather than later and if so he should have said so. That way the Canucks could trade him there and at least get a return. If he signed his deal at 8 mil per for 5 years then even better for him. He’ll prob have to take less there anyway.
I don't know if you were listening to what Allvin said. From what i understood, he said he didn't have good offers and if there was a good offer, people wanted prospects that Allvin couldn't part ways with.
Who is “SOME SAY”. You need to be “absolutely” sure before you start calling someone a liar
I hate your speculation about trades that never happen, but I think your analysis here is spot on
I think in the end, this regime is fixated on making the playoffs for this year – the belief continues to be that, once you make it to the dance, anything can happen. If trading Boeser for a first cannot be flipped right away into another player, plus you would need to lose a top prospect, then no way should the Canucks be making a trade.
I am actually more concerned of the continual bashing of Boeser by Allvin and company now. They do know that, after the trading deadline, the player has more clout than the team, right? If they continue to bash Boeser in the public, do they think this would actually get the Boeser camp to lower their asking price for a contract? Or would it just drive Boeser away to wait for July 1 to test the open market? The way this management treat the organization's assets (from Boudreau to Zadorov to Miller to now Boeser) is quite mind-boggling.
