The San Diego Gulls mounted an impressive comeback to defeat the Ontario Reign 5-3 at Pechanga Arena on Saturday night. After falling behind 2-0 in the first period on goals from Luke Rowe and Jeff Malott, the Gulls stormed back in the second with three unanswered goals. Justin Bailey ignited the rally with a successful penalty shot, followed by Judd Caulfield and Nikita Nesterenko finding the back of the net to give San Diego the lead heading into the final frame. Ontario briefly pulled even in the third with a goal from Jack Studnicka, but the Gulls responded swiftly. Jan Myšák netted the game-winner at 15:03, and Nathan Gaucher sealed the victory with an empty-netter in the final minutes. Nesterenko, Gaucher, and Caulfield each recorded a goal and an assist, earning them the game’s three-star honors. With the win, the Gulls continue their strong push in the playoff race, showcasing resilience and offensive depth.

  1. Caulfield handled that the way too many NHL players don't, ending them up on bloopers/worst plays compilations for missed shots they should have made.
