Florida will fly to Boston where it plays the Bruins on Tuesday.
They are bringing Brad Marchand with them, although he will not play. Marchand spent 16 seasons with the Bruins and was their captain the past two before being traded to the Panthers on Friday.
He won the Stanley Cup in 2011, and joins a team that ended Boston’s season in 2023 and 2024.

Florida, which has won five straight and 10 of 12, got a goal and two assists from Sasha Barkov and Sam Reinhart in a 4-0 win over the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday.
Mackie Samoskevich had a game-high seven shots on goal and scored in the second.
The Panthers travel to Boston for a game on Tuesday. Marchand will not play, but he will be with the team.

Benny is the best. I'll always be impressed with the way he put his face and body on the line when he dove and spread himself on the net to prevent an Oilers goal in Game 7. Why isn't he re-signed already?!?

As a Bruins fan, I just came from Brad's press conference and they both said 'we take nothing personally'. I love that they both said this. I am excited to see the Panthers with Marchy and how that all fits together. Could be a repeat!

You know when i heard about the trade I was like OMG who did we trade marchand for ? I thought was it benny or some other key core player we have. That wouldve been crazy if it was marchand for benny lol At the end of the day this was the best in not giving up any regular player for any of the trades they made. Im excited to see them all on the ice come playoff time when tkachuk comes back hopefully. I also think that 4 nations tournament really helped the trade with benny and marchand playing together and just being together. One of the best things about hockey is the respect and competitive nature on the ice not affecting anyone off the ice. I think like bball and football you have so many individual egos taking more of a disruptive stance on the team. Winning doesnt hurt either lol.
