Unlike alot of Avs fans, i dont hate or dislike Mikko. I dont think its a simple situation where he chose to sign in Dallas over Colorado. I think him and his agent over played their hand and Colorado wasnt having it or risking it. The Avs were actually very smart in trading him to ensure they have solid pieces for the next few years. Yes, Rantanen would boost the Avs this year but if he did walk for nothing, the Avs would have been screwed for the next few years and have to overpay in free agency to fix the hole. They dont have that luxury. I think Rantanen would still choose to stay with the Avs if he knew what he knows now. Good luck Mikko and thanks for all the exciting times you gave us
