The goals I see these days happen to be kinda easy goals though . I'm not saying all but that's like what, 5 or 6 empty netters? Ya this one was hard through traffic but also he was probably surprised too… Haha will he retire after this run?

For goal scorers over the age of 30, Gretzky doesn't even make the top ten. That is such a weird stat for me. Brendan Shanahan was a better scorer than Wayne Gretzky after age 30. Yikes!

Not sure why Gretzky fans are mad about his record getting broken. He’s held that record for 26 years. He’s been retired a long time. Ovechkin is a franchise player and plays his heart out. I’m a Canucks fan and I’m hoping he breaks it, and if the Canucks can’t make the playoffs, I hope he gets to raise the cup in the same season. I think he plays out his contract too, so he can put at least 20 more goals up on the previous record. He’s a beast and he deserves it.
