Elliotte Friedman put more fire on Luke Schenn from Elliotte Friedman's sources that Pens working on Deal to move RD Luke Schenn at 50% retained To other team could happen tonight or tomorrow
From other trade rumor that Blackhawks to aquire Rights to C Semyon Der-Arguchintsev for 4th in 2025 or 2026
My guess is they flip Schenn and get like Jarnkrok or Kampf and Robertson
Well Johnny this time around I can't comment on Rantanen..lol. Erik Karlsson has alot of financial baggage…just saying.
If Dallas gets Rantanen, they didn't get Risto or Karlsson and are the prohibitive favorites in the west. If the Leafs get him, they ultimately failed to get a 3rd line center (which is unlikely because Laughton seems likely to go there). If LA gets him, the Kings could get out of the west, assuming they beat the Oilers. If Hurricanes keep him past the deadline, it will blow up in their face in a spectacular fashion come this summer. The Hurricanes, as constructed, are not sniffing a cup. As a matter of fact, they are probably 1st-round exits.
Leafs have to unload Reilly, and Domi
Predators have also sent Kieffer Bellows back down to the AHL
Probably as expected, but league sources confirm that Carolina has received clarity from Mikko Rantanen's camp as far as not being ready to make a decision on the team's contract offer by Friday's trade deadline. Hence, Carolina talking to teams and seeing for real what the trade market is for him. It comes down to weighing best trade offers on the table versus keeping Rantanen as a rental… let's see how it goes. From Pierre LeBurn
And now Vejmelka has been signed
Other trade John bud The Ducks are retaining 50 percent on Dumoulin's $3.15M cap hit.
2nd RD pick going to Anaheim is this year's draft.
and again, prospect going to Ducks is Herman Traff from Pierre LeBrun
From Pierre LeBrun
San Jose Sharks are listening on LHD Mario Ferraro, 26, who has one more year on his deal next season at $3.25M cap hit.
It doesn't mean they'll move him. Happy to keep him. But given the small number of D on the trade market, Sharks are seeing what comes their way.
Mikko Rantanen is open to signing an extension with “the right team” as part of a sign/trade. It’s one option believed to be available in a fluid situation and would help maximize a return for Carolina. Everything seems to be on the table, including Canes keeping him. From David Pagnotta
According to Pagnotta, the Hurricanes have asked the #LeafsForever for Matthew Knies to be included in a deal, something Toronto GM Brad Treliving is not interested in doing without a long-term commitment from Rantanen"
