Kent Hughes indicated that the Habs more than likely won't go deep even if they make the playoffs I love the fact that Dobes and Beck are being used to showcase their talents.

Beyond the RFAs/UFAs, Ryan Donato wasn't moved at the deadline – might be an off season option. Also Jared McCann could be moved.
Didn’t like some of the Centers you posted – Rossi is a Smurf, Peterka 6’ sort of smallish side. Need a bigger, more experienced left shot Center to play well next 2 years and mentor Hage and even Beck.
Dobes was put in because he was siting too long. Needed to play and he has proven he can handle big games
Habs play. They are slipping back into the same mode when they went into the loss slump. Calgary had double the shots on goal all all the way into mid-second period. if not for Dobes it would have easily been 3-0. They still don't have the man-power that makes up a solid team. They won't make the playoffs playing like this.
By all accounts, the 2025 draft is one of the worst in years. For whatever reason, luck is rarely on our side
I have no problem with playing Dobes last night. I think it was either last night, or Vancouver to give Monty a little break. This way he can play against Seattle in the back to back. I'm curious to see who they get for the 2C position. I don't think it'll happen but Crosby would be a great fit until Hage comes along (3-4 years). Plus I think Pitt needs a rebuild so picks and prospects would be available as a return. I would love to see him in bleu-blanc-rouge. Plus with him in the lineup, we're a playoff team on paper. Imagine Crosby with Demidov and Laine. The 2nd line would be just as good, if not better, than our first. Make it happen Kent! lol

We need a Josh Anderson style 2C…big, fearless and can cause havoc in front of the net. I know it's difficult but there must be someone out there. We have money to spend this summer, pay up.

Dobes should have played sooner because this is the experience he needs. Big mistake not Trading all the ufas. The prospects need to get the playing time because they're going to be here next year and the ufa are not

Massive summer? I hope not , last time Hugues had big summers he wasted 3x 1st rounders and a 2nd rounder on Mesar , newhook and Dach🤦♂
What do the habs need? A center , that’s it . There’s no good centres available this summer so expect to see another wasted pick to go somewhere for another “ maybe”
And not trading the UFAs they’re not planning to keep was a huge mistake , not for the assets but because getting rid of let’s say dvorak and Savard would had made room for rookies who need experience. Are they gonna draft for 10 years before giving their prospect a chance
Sam Benett will ask for 8 to 9 mil a year. For 7 mil a season , anytime , Sam Benett would be the perfect centre for demidov . But like you said the UFA list is pretty sad
Bennett demidov has a nice ring to it on the 2nd line. Sprinkle in laine for a year and go from there
