Connor McMichael recorded a goal and an assist and Alex Ovechkin became the 11th player in NHL history to reach 1,600 career points with his 886th goal, giving the Washington Capitals a 4-2 win over the Seattle Kraken.

    Closing in on Gretzky in the same amount of games. 8 goals in 13 games to go to tie Gretzky in the same amount of games (1487) which is .615 goals per game. Ovie’s career is (886/1474) = .601 GPG. This year is 33/48 which is .688 goals per game (3rd highest of his career). Also leading the NHL in goals per 60. He’s 39

    This Seattle fan wants to see Ovechkin get the final 9 goals to surpass The Great 99. Also, kudos to him on his 1600th NHL point.
