Sabres are a wasteland. You are right about that. However, Cozens is truly awful, as you will see. Sabres fans are thrilled to get rid of him, regardless of what we got back. Fact.
Yawn – 1 overpaid, underforming young forward and marginal Dman for the exact same thing. This is about 2 things: Cap Space and Wake up call for the Core. You underperform? You're out of here.

I’m not a fan of this trade, guys. Norris is the more skilled player and a better goal scorer than Cozens, and we’re only saving about $800K in cap space. If Staios can flip that second-round pick for Donato, I’d be more on board.

I see Cozens is 50.6% faceoffs, best of career. Josh at 53%.

Dylan's a stud! Bigger, stronger, healthier, younger, highly skilled and drafted in top 10 his draft year! Oh ya, like the boys said, he has also played in 105 more games (no health issues)!

Seems like a lateral move to me. Are you familiar with the expression, “You’re better off with the devil you know.”? But I’ll try to reserve judgement until Cozens had played 5-10 games in a Sens uniform. The few Sabres fans I’ve seen in the comments here are glad to be “rid of him.” So that makes me nervous.

Sabres fan from Ottawa, I feel weird about this one but Cozens joining the Sens is pretty much best case scenario because I cheer for you guys when you aren’t playing Buf.

Dylan Cozens… 2023-24 WC Canada 10- 9-2-11 quite different to 2024-25 Buffalo 61-11-20-31. So really depends who he plays with? I'm not going to grade this, it all depends on Cozens.
It such a difference listening to the Andlauer Sens, they seem so much more strategic and well thought out – Pierre put together a great group but Staios and Andlauer will make the Sens a play off perennial – great to have real hockey guys running the team.
I like this trade. I'm kinda pissed that after Norris had that great season, signed the 8-yr contract, I bought his jersey. Then he got injured and missed the year, part of the next year and then this year gets traded? #$&#^$## 😡

Cozens was looking great till Hathaway beat his face in. Totally different since then. Like hathaway stole his soul. Got beat up by kokantniemi last week. Wtf.
Sabres Fan here you won the trade- Cozen problem stems from getting his weight from 185-207 it has thrown his skating off a bit no here gives him credit for really improving his hits, blocks and faceoff percentage-next year he will be 210 and his scoring will be back up to the 25-30 range and Sabre fans will cry.
You guys are going to hate this trade by next November. Ill let you fantasize about all things you think he is that he is absolutely not. There is reason the Sabres took a guy that has major injury concerns. He plays little defense, hes soft for his size, he had one good year, and if you think hes going to fight… your just going to watch him get his ass kicked and hurt.
We make fun of his nickname, its ridiculous and not who he is. It was made up by the Sabres TV play by play guy because it sounds cool.
Buffalo fan here… checked this vid out to see the pulse of sen’s fans after this trade. The outside hockey world has a very different perception of Cozens right now. As Buffalo fans we’ve seen him plummet in every aspect of his game seemingly after the Hathaway fight. He has flat out stunk. Early in his career it seemed like cozens had true captain and 1C potential but something is not right with him the last two years or so. I say this just to say I don’t think this deal is as much a slam dunk as the outside buffalo hockey world seems to think. I know Buffalo has been a player graveyard but I don’t think you guys are getting the player you think you are. Maybe just maybe he finds his game again in which case you got a great player in return but that’s a big IF right now. Anyways… I miss the old Sabres and Sens rivarly, hope this deal works for both and that we can see these two franchises successful again.
