  1. Too many players on the team that don't contribute at all. A team full of washed up Vet or mediocre players. Thanks S.Y the most invisible GM in the league. A GM who is best known for creating a Foreign Legion without identity and pathos during the years he is GM.

A leader should be both driving and developed and make sure that everyone is in the same boat. McLellan can only do his part but is constantly stabbed in the back when his boss is absent from his position. That S.Y still has a job left is incomprehensible to me to understand.

When it comes to the RW Pro scout team, even these members of the family are questioned as there are obvious shortcomings in their competence to see the difference between quality and quantity, because they give S.Y the basis when issuing a contract.

As a fan, I can't wait for the 6th straight year to see S.Y and his staff sign some stupid contract for washed up Vet or mediocre players for the 6th straight year in a row.

So let's go for a streak of 7 or more losses, there are plenty of games left in the season not to attend.

  2. So much dead weight on this team…. Can’t wait til we can offload all of the trash players that have been dragging this team down. Ras, Holl, Tarasenko, Chiarot, and Gustafsson….. go pound sand. Half the guys are just collecting a paycheck, they couldn’t care less about winning or snapping the playoff drought.

Kaner looks miserable, I bet he’s pissed he plays with so many bums that don’t contribute anything to this team. I hope Kaner stays….

  3. Just like last year, this team has quit on the fans.
Maybe this game was a response to SY doing nothing to help the team at the trade deadline.

  4. Starting to be obvious what Copp meant to this team. It almost seems like he was the glue for this team

  5. First thing is they needed to make a legit trade after Mazur going down and Fish getting scooped by Columbus. Going down the stretch you’re going to need depth especially if you’re making the playoffs. We get another goalie with a crap hit next year and swap forwards. Walman who we needed to give San Jose a second to take – we didn’t even get nothing we gave a second let that sink in, goes to Edmonton for a first. What are we doing here this is just piss poor management and vision. The drafting will only get you so far if you can’t sign a free agent to save your ass and are trading like you are blind.

  6. No other way to say this.. Average goaltending with average defensive effort losses hockey games. You want to be a constant winner? Tell Steve to take a shot here and there and get some above average players in here. His explanation about the lack of movement in free agency tells the fans that he's unwilling to take a risk to make this team better anytime soon. No risk, no reward.

  7. Why hold on to all the draft picks? We can't sign them all. Could we not package some in with Tarasenko and or Gustafsson and get some kind of value back?

  8. I pray for Detroit fans who are unaware that they are committing the sin of BLASPHEMY when they criticize SAINT YZERMAN.

  9. If you want Kane gone be ready for another year of this. Even though Kane isn’t a fast guy he’s the reason why our PP has been so deadly. We can’t score 5v5 and if he’s gone we won’t be able to score on the PP. 🤷🏻‍♂️

  10. Larkin is too inconsistent as the captain. He’s a far cry from others captains in the league. If we’re looking for 1 goaltender why go after Mrazek? You have to pay to play boys. What is Yzerman doing differently in Detroit than he did in Tampa?

  11. Im getting to the point where i believe sadly we need to rebuild again. We need to trade Larkin eventually and get a decent haul for him next year. Dude needs to be on a winning team and yzerman has not established one. We have gotten screwed in the draft so many times when clearly we were the worst team

  12. So, it's March. Time for the annual clipping of the Wings. Maybe it's allergy season in Detroit, maybe guys are playing hurt, but embracing suckage after this turnaround is as if Lalonde walked back into the locker room. Brain cramps doesn't quite explain all the losses, but when you outshoot your opponents 2:1 and still losing by multiple goals means your offense is obviously not working together. Trade deadline brought NO relief – unless Lyon or Talbot are playing hurt and Mrazek is a 20 game stopgap. Yzerplan going down the tubes unless they can pull another winning streak.

  13. Once again, the comment section faithful believe the Wings were the better team. In fact, they’ll believe the Wings are the better team in June, while watching another team hoist the Stanley Cup. “They played the better game or they were the better team” all the while getting their wheels blown off by some other club… Delusional

  14. Not surprised by the current skid. Feels like the team lost a lot of that fire with the 4 Nations Break, and half the contributors on this team are rookies. Having Shine back is nice (he never should've been sent back down IMO), but this team has done next to nothing to correct a historically-bad PK.

At least Steve got value(?) for Veleno, who has been terrible for 3 seasons now. But not a chance we're sniffing playoffs with this kind of hockey.

  15. Holl and Gus get stuck out there so often…you can’t have the 3rd or 4th line out there with them at all they just get stuck in the D zone..sometimes even the 1st and 2nd line. I just find it hard to believe we couldn’t get Ferraro..like what are you offering? You could’ve offered Veleno, a 2nd, and Viro and we would’ve been fine
