  1. Great video…….
in my opinion Knoblauch is making a huge mistake by forcing players into the same system without considering their individual strengths. A good coach knows how to make players comfortable in their roles, but Knoblauch is dictating a one-size-fits-all approach that doesn’t work for everyone. It’s no wonder Oilers are wasting their talent and failing to reach their potential. Until the coach adapts to his players, Edmonton will keep struggling.

  2. I enjoyed your show. Nice job. Your take on everything was spot on. I completely believe Knoblauch is mis-using most of his players. Especially Ardvisson and Skinner. I'm quite sure Jackson is steaming between the ears at this point because Knoblauch isn't getting the production out of those 2 marquee acquisitions that Jackson was convinced he had. The irony is, Jackson pursued Knoblauch heavily to become his coach, and now, it's quite likely Jackson is considering to fire Knoblauch should the Oilers continue to fall apart at the seams. Typically coaches never get fired this late in the season, but the Oilers seem to pride themselves at being first at everything.

  3. Too small and slow. Their addition to the team comes off like Jackson didn't even consult the coaches as to what they needed on the team.

  4. Its the dumbass GM and Jackson that pick up these up these useless players and sign them all to a no clause contract, what the fuck is that! Cause then you cant trade them or give them away.

  5. Oilers don’t play team defense as a 5 man unit when they are on the ice and don’t have the puck.
The oilers don’t work hard for the full 60 minute game.
The oilers don’t hit when they are able to regain puck possession.
The oilers only think offence and they are predictable when in the offensive zone, they will pass the puck 6-12 times before they shoot the puck.
The oilers don’t have a #1 goalie. Skinner is a #2 at this point in his career. He is to inconsistent and doesn’t move well in his crease. He doesn’t handle the puck well either!
Signing an unproven goalie last year in Campbell to 5×5 deal then giving up on him…and he was an inconsistent goalie as well.
The team is built to small, to soft and to old. Should have kept Holloway at the price he signed for in St. Louis. Not sure about Broberg…to much money and was unproven.
I think Bouchard is distracted with upcoming contract talks, he is terrible defensively and seems like his head is in the clouds on some plays. Don’t resign him if he costs 9-10 million a season…trade him for a big rangy defender now while we can!
We need defensive help as a #4 or #5 D-man.
The good news is we just traded for Jones and Fredric…much needed size / grit and toughness.
Need to inject some team toughness and character…too many passengers on this team.

  6. Offensive players need powerplay time to feel good about their game. Playing only 5 players for almost the full 2 minutes all the time takes away opportunities for other offensive players to feel positive. No surprise that both Arvidsson and Skinner are not feeling it. I think that if they had powerplay time, it would transfer to their 5 v 5 stats too.
