The Buffalo Sabres have made a significant move ahead of the trade deadline, acquiring forward Josh Norris and defenseman Jacob Bernard-Docker from the Ottawa Senators. In a bold move, the Sabres have sent forward Dylan Cozens, defenseman Dennis Gilbert, and a second-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft to Ottawa in exchange for Josh Norris and Jacob Bernard-Docker. Josh Norris, at 25 years old, brings a proven scoring touch to Buffalo. Drafted 19th overall by the San Jose Sharks in 2017, Norris has tallied 90 goals and 156 points in 236 NHL games. His breakout season came in 2021-22, when he netted 35 goals and 55 points in 66 games.

As a Sens fan I can tell you Josh is a real player. Plays with heart and has a rocket of a shot. Great on PP and good teammate. He had some bad luck with injuries but if he stays healthy this guy is a star on your team.
We’ll miss him 100%.
