  1. I'm so thankful Shanny had a rethink on the great pretender Dubas and fired his pathetic ass. Brad is a legit GM who knows a lot more than Dubas ever did on how to build a team that is playoff ready. These moves don't make us favorites to win or anything looking at Dallas and Florida… but I'm happy with everything this man has done so far and at least the team is moving in the right direction without sacrificing the future too much and overpaying. Best GM Leafs have had in a long, long while.

  2. So Scott opens up Domi on left wing?! If so I hope it works out, I was hoping for a solid left winger and was reading Domi would be on the wing?!

I'm not sold on the goaltending but lets hope they make it happen…

  3. fire this loser, gave up two 1st round picks and a top prospect for crap scraps while marchand goes for a 2nd

  4. I like the additions but who are the bottom six right wingers? Right shooting Jarnkrok and 3 not too difficult to play against lefties are the options.

  5. We'll see how happy all you are with Brad and the team when the Leafs get knocked out first round again.
    Tb and Fla are stacked.

  6. Was getting concerned seeing Tampa and Florida making all these moves and watching Leafs doing nothing…but these moves were decent ones not gonna lie 👏

  7. 2 yrs ago I would've been freaking out over this trade but the more time goes on with minten in regards to world jrs performance ahl statistics; the more I see him probably as a third line at best in nhl. I wouldn't mind being wrong as he seems like a good kid . But his numbers don't suggest top 6 in NHL

  8. I like Laughton for age over Schenn. I like Carlo but don't think this was how to build the team. I love they have term but think we overpaid.

Trading Marner in his first months as GM was completely open. We won a first round that we should've lost and lost first rounds and pre playoffs (Columbus) with a faster team that still couldn't score enough to win. Goaltending and defense hasn't been the problem. Only Willy has been consistently a play driver and productive even when sick (2023) or injured (last year) since 2018.

Overpaid again with no prospects or chance for future prospects. What faith should I have in our Leafs? Laughton was playing LW and is not a full time Centre until Phillie traded Frost. Conor Timmins and Liljegren are RHD who are good puck movers. Carlo isn't. He's big and defensive defenseman. Great. We can't score in the playoffs. We still don't have depth RHD. Liljegren is getting top pair mins in SJ. Benoit was good last year and trash this year.

Brad has old school ideas and won what in Calgary or here in Toronto?

I like that they have term but now we have less depth replacements but 15% retention for a great 6th-32nd (if we win cup its 32nd) overall pick in 2026, a 4th round pick and our 2nd best prospect when we have one of the worst propsect pools since the Big 3 graduated. Come on!

Boston beat us with one superstar forward and one superstar defenseman and a good defense. We have played middling crap all years and thats where we stand in every team stat (PK, PP, etc).

OEL has been better than Reilly and they work well together but Carlo is not a top pair player. Will OEL play right side with Benoit who should really be the 8th-10th defenseman?

  9. Glad we got the depth we truly needed. Shitty to see Minten and Grebenkin go but our time is now and over the next 4-5 years … those guys weren’t going to be in our top six so it’s best to move them for depth peices

  10. I gave Brad a chance but today I lost all hope in him today. Needed bigger upgrades and came out of it with only Carlo and Laughton. Very disappointing but excited for opening night in October for another chance at a cup in 2026.

  11. The facts are, it's been 10 years of deadline and new faces, the core 4 stay the same and have won a single round. Would anyone be surprised if they were knocked out again in the first round?
If they don't win a Cup will the team finally walk away from at least two of the contracts handcuffing this team?

  12. Great trades. Tree did well. And I like his consideration for the people that he traded away. Very sensitive to those situations and I like that about him a lot.

  13. The new players coming are ok. Massive overpay is a bigger problem and this is not the year to go all in. The Leafs are not Carlo and Laughton away from the Cup.
