I was so thrown off by this
Tank for McKenna
Victor ekland coming to San Jose
25 isn’t old lol
This one hurts
This was unexpected, but I’m ok with it. Hopefully Grier makes a big signing or two this off-season.
JUST IN!!! Vlassic shipped off to Tampa Bay for a months supply of pickles and a seventh round pick
Rule 1. Don't get too attached to a player while going through a rebuild
Trade the 2025 Dallas 1st and both 2nds to move to top 15 and draft Eklund 😂
Maybe we have enough draft capital to trade for a high first and get Victor Eklund
Mike Grier is officially ruthless
The Zetterlund trade is so dumb😭😭
Zetterlund trade really hurts!
Who cares about a 2nd pick in a pretty crappy draft? This is the dumbest trade for what we got back
I always predicted Fabian was gonna be a trade piece and caught flak for it. However, my other prediction is it would bring back another piece we needed or something of value. This is neither and very disappointing. So far, I feel Mike's moves have been hit and miss. All he's really done is tear it down so far and get some prospects. This build better not take too long otherwise you'll end up being the Edmonton Oilers and have a few stars with massive cap hits and no way of filling in around them, or worse the perpetual Buffalo rebuild.
Can we just trade or get rid of Logan C. He is injured as can be cant even skate, he doesn't deserve captain status right now, and he is just taking up cap space and a roster spot, he isnt coming back, i believe his career is over
The new head office is capable of mistakes whenever it comes to guys over 6'2". Noted
This podcast sucks
I just don’t think anyone who would be considered a big signing would wanna come here. Yes I know our prospect pool is deep but until we’re contending again I don’t think anyone will sign. Players wanna win now
So does MG feel that the rebuild is longer than 2 years from now?
🙁 apparently we aren’t winner for years
Players don’t rule per Grier ruthless
Hate last few trades
This was about money, age and being replaceable. Zetterlund likely wanted 5-6 mil/per. Why pay that for a 25 year old third liner that’s nearly peaking now when you have prospects in the pipeline that can offer his same skill set and match up with Macklin’s timeline more neatly? I was surprised at first too but there is good logic behind this. Wish we could have gotten a first, but wishing gets you nowhere in life. Action does.
