Incredible
people think making favorable trades is easy. Oh just flece other teams 5head.
We had 4th liners going for conditional 1st. Canucks have more value for the future keeping those picks
Disgraceful
I must be missing something, but how is saying that we rather keep Boeser as a rental, than trading him for less than we think he is worth disrespecting him?
Boeser has more character and class in one pinky that Alvin has from bald head to stubbed toe
What a joke of a GM
I actually can truly say I miss Jim Benning
What a joke at this trade deadline for the Canucks! This management has problems. And guess what? Now to prove a point, they are going to WAY overpay Boeser to that long contract to keep him. Can't just let Boeser walk for nothing now right? Have to cover up their incompetent right? $8m x 8 years here we go!
Maybe our management simply sucks at negotiation. So they can't even get a 2nd round pick for Boeser or Suter. As much as I like EP40, now I wonder if we could have gotten him for cheaper than $11.6m if only our management is better at negotiating.
And even if they wanted to overpay Boeser, STILL could have just get some picks and prospects now, and just resign Boeser in the off season as Free Agent.
"I am happy with the players we got.". LOLWUT? Who is even on our 1st line right now? Who can EP40 even pass the puck to right now? A lot of fans blame EP40, but where is our non-existent 1st line bro?
I am losing faith. Jesus!
He said he needs to show he is a “good player” and then openly mocked what was offered for him. Alvin is a 🤡
Alvin looked at his roster and thought a forward core led by a slow declining Brock and EP40 who looks very sickly and gaunt were good enough to keep up with Colorado, Vegas and Dallas. This is so on brand for Vancouver.
now we know cancer is not within players but from top management
There is nothing Canucks could offer. Hughes and EP40 are the only world class and you don't trade EP40 for Rantanen. Not good for either team or players.
Canucks = Missing two world class players. Miller was not it. So….above that level.
Dude 8 mil was a reach there no way he produced more than miller and had more of a presence than miller did , we definitely let the wrong man go 😢
He should have made a play for Laine and O’Rielly. Possibly even Dobson. I do find it crazy how he couldn’t get a 1st for Boeser. lol
if they gave Boeser away with Willander for a third just to make a trade to make the market happy, would people be happier. apparently there weren't any good returns. dont sell the future for nothing. the same reason we were willing to let him go, ex. slow foot speed, less production this year, is probably the same reason others didnt want to pay a bunch for him
I’m more confused about Suter and Forbort. The pens got a 2nd for Beauvillier. 😮
